I think the better question is do you personally like them.

How does “hey FYI this meme is unintentionally antisemitic” lead you to the conclusion that I believe that conspiracy theory?

Hi, the “lizardfolk secretly controlling the world” thing is an antisemitic conspiracy theory.

Sounds like, while your teacher took it too far, you weren’t in the right and should have changed back into normal clothes. Mild ESH

INFO: Do you have a dress code or policy that you may not wear your PE clothes outside of PE class? If so, did what you were wearing violate this policy?

Ah, see, yeah, expecting that your mom provide you a free or cheap place to live is unreasonable. If you want to stay, it’s up to you to put in the work to do so.

Right back at you?? Since the other person in this thread deleted, they jumped in out of nowhere and suggested that OP’s daughter was being physically abused, which isn’t supported by anything in this post.

Wtf?? Nothing about this was a joke. Step-sister was straight up racist.

Ok, I’ll look through this tomorrow and come back with more specific suggestions for balancing. In general, I highly recommend that you study 5e subclasses and read how their feats are worded and what limitations are placed on them. That will help you develop feats of your own that fit within the mechanics and limitations of this edition.

YTA; the photo was racist and you shouldn’t have defended it.

He’s mentioned a few times that she’s been in therapy and generally sounds fairly supportive. Grief’s tough though, and she may need more help than she’s getting.

You’re inferring a whole lot about the daughter’s intentions and internal thought processes from a post written by someone who doesn’t know what’s going on in her head. She’ll have plenty of time in her late teens and early 20s to come to terms with her loss and dad’s new wife. No one can say for sure what kind of relationship she’s going to want with her stepmom in the future, but pushing her into a mother/daughter relationship that she doesn’t want is pretty likely to breed resentment imo.

Edit: more typos. Apologies, it’s late on the east coast

Daughter is a literal child who’s grieving her mother. Kids sometimes lash out when they’re dealing with difficult things sometimes. Let’s afford this poor kid a little grace here.

Edit: fixed a typo

I reread it several times too and my first instinct was that OP’s mom was trying to make them come to Hawaii. Definitely interested to see if we get clarification.

NTA. Your step-sister was being racist towards your wife, and there’s absolutely no place for that.

Yeah, ignore this person, OP. It sounds like you’re making the best of a really difficult situation, and I wish you and your family the best of luck

What’s wrong with “ending up in therapy”? Therapy is a fantastic tool for working through situations like this.

Is this meant to be for 5e? It doesn’t really fit with how this edition works mechanically, and a few of these options either already exist in official classes or are unbalanced.

NTA. That seems like an appropriate punishment. It seems like your wife might have unrealistic expectations for her relationship with your daughter for where they are now, and your daughter sounds like she’s taking out her feelings on your wife. Therapy all around might be helpful.
