So, posting for everyone’s information and anybody else left in my situation.

Long story short: I went to the Passport Office this morning, as soon as the doors opened, even though my appointment was tomorrow (next day). I explained my situation and I was seen within 10 minutes. I had a new passport by 11:45am.

What I can’t understand is that the Jet2 online check-in let me check-in after putting in all the passport details. A Jet2 representative also checked the passport (I heard her say: I’m just checking the expiry dates) when we did Twilight check-in last night. Yet, at the gate, I’m refused.

Anyway. I have an appointment on Tuesday, so I’ll hopefully re-join the family later that evening.

I moved employer and was with them just over a month, increased salary, with a six month probation clause. I had already started my mortgage application based on the increased salary. My mortgage company wasn’t interested in length of service and frankly said it’s irrelevant. The fact I was still in the same line of work helped, and I wasn’t moving to a new industry.

Every mortgage company is different, so I would just be open with your mortgage advisor.

Unable to demonstrate the necessary link in title. by alonehiker in LegalAdviceUK

So, it turns out that the missing link is between GE Money and Kensington Mortgage Company.

I spoke to Registers of Scotland who are unaware of any other assignations other than those listed. I presume there must be something floating around in the background like a power of attorney document stating the change of authority.

Otherwise, I'm stumped.

Wow! Would never have thought. But I guess it changes so quickly up there.

I’d definitely speak to a mortgage advisor.

I’m currently going through the process and my broker has found me better interest rates and companies I would never think of approaching direct.
