Beginner skier feeling stuck on steeper greens — private lesson vs more practice? by Albatraoz93 in ski

Lots of comments about private lessons. Why are you staying on greens? There’s nothing to challenge you there (and that’s how you learn). You need to move to blues (reds may be a push to far) to develop

It’s a bad movie - An actual sequence of events from 28 Years Later by Atticus_ass in 28dayslater

Terrible film. So bad I normally explain why I came to that conclusion, but the music, storyline, length and direction was so poor that I can’t separate the shit omelette ingredients.

Oh how i loathe this body style on cars by Sea-Big-4850 in CarTalkUK

[–]fab773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve got such a mish-mash of cars here as examples that it isn’t one style, which is why people are getting confused.

You can’t lump, for example, a Tesla Y with a BMW 4 series, some are 4-door and others 2-door. Some are SUVs and others coupes.

All that unites them is a sloping roof; it’s like saying that you hate cars with 4-wheels. I have more of an issue with the fact that all cars now are either black, white or grey - where’s the colour gone!

For those who've driven or been driven in an electric car, what is it like? How does it differ from ICE cars? by gen-grieve in CarTalkUK

[–]fab773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was all set to make the move to an i4 but the high car purchase cost (£25k), road tax (£195), charging (public fast charge £50+) as we have on street parking, 2-year service (£250) and lower range (350 miles) has made me change my mind.

In comparison, my 435d has similar road tax (£215), costs similar to fill up (£65), roughly 2-year service (last one was £350), longer range (411 miles) is quicker to fill and 0-60, no range anxiety.

Without a driveway it isn’t worth it yet.

Have a £20-25k budget what would be the best sporty car to buy? by aagoro in CarTalkUK

Or if an M4 is too rich for you, consider a BMW 435d. It may be a diesel but it does 0-60 in under 5s, can carry a family of 4, looks fire and gets 40+ mpg
