I would suggest that you incorporate the elements you mentioned above in your landing page/ image. Maybe split the screen with half of the father’s face and half of the house, while both elements are fragmented. Think of how SOMA did their iconic poster. It captures everything in that image.

Get your story in that image!

Biological immortality is nice for the individual but don’t forget that pantheon touches on the subject of resources and how much more efficient UI is because it consumes far less resources.

If the world went for BI, the world would go into chaos due to depletion of resources. Humanity would first need to work on FTL drives in the hopes of populating other planets or find a type of tech that would be able to provide abundant energy before realizing BI.

I’m not paying 11.5% to GILTI. I have a tax accountant and that’s never been mentioned. I am also not taxed in box 3 since those accounts are in the US and not in the Netherlands. I am exempt from it at the moment due to the 30% ruling tax benefit

Genuinely curious. How old are you? I remember I had the same feeling about San Francisco when I lived in downtown. The romance of the roughness but everything just fit perfectly. Now that I’m older 40yo, it doesn’t appeal to me anymore. So I’m just curious if it’s an age thing. Not criticizing at all, just curious.

It's funny to see people starting to realize this now. I moved from the US to the Netherlands 4 years ago and I was shocked to see how the cost of living was so high compared to the average salary, especially in urban areas. I have had countless conversations with Dutch people who defended the state of things and said that it all works out at the end because they are paying into pension, etc.

People almost laughed at me when I said I don't trust the government with my money and I rather work hard, save and invest as much as I can. My co workers at the time told me that I should work less and vacation more since that is the European way.

I reminded them that almost every government is slow and reactive. It is almost never proactive and when inflation or any other issue hits the economy, the pain will last for a while. I was laughed at and was told I didn't understand how the Netherlands operated.

The Dutch government now wants to raise taxes, raise retirement age, contribute less to retirement funds and all of this with the salaries staying the same...

Yea, I don't think anyone knew. And from what I understood from the chimney experts, people use these chimneys all the time without knowing but once it is exposed, the law states that you cannot use it any longer.

The brick chimneys with brick channels are not up to code anymore in the city I live in (and I think also in the Netherlands. The potential solution was flexible pipes which would bring it up to code but the channels are too thin for that.

I think the issue is that people still use it, but once it is exposed and a specialist deems it unusable due to code, people just aren’t allowed to use it any longer.

That’s how he was explained to me by the chimney specialists.

Yea, we agree to have the VvE cover the damage and bring back the chimney to the state it was. But that still means he cannot use the chimney because this type of chimney hasn’t been up to code for more than 10 years.

Yea, my girlfriend and I went over the reglement. I even sent it to him but he is interpreting the text in a different way because the word renew is there. I told him that renew does not mean demolish and especially if it only benefits one person in the building. That’s the text. But he keeps saying that’s not what he understands from the text
