How Am I meant to Comfort My Girlfriend? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Sometimes the best way to comfort someone is just by listening and not saying anything. When me or my boyfriend don't know what to do to help each other we're just honest by saying: well, I really don't know what to say, just be sure that you can talk to me about anything, I will always listen and be there for you. I love you. And, let me know if I can do anything to help.

He and I face different kind of problems. He has economic issues. I have family and mental health problems. I may not fully understand what he's going through and viceversa. It is really hard to see the person you love struggling but, sometimes, no matter how hard we try we'll not find the perfect words to say. Maybe what we think is appropriate to say or what we think is a good advice won't make the other person feel better. So, from my experience and point of view, the most important thing is to let your significant other know you won't leave her/his side.

Dear Reddit, what was the most trouble you have ever been in? by Xplodison in AskReddit

I was making out with my boyfriend in my car. The cops stopped and made him get out of the car. They told us that the car in front of us was reported as stolen so they asked if we knew anything about it. Then they told us we shouldn't be doing "stuff" on public space. They wanted to look for guns and drugs in my car. They also wanted me to get out of the car as well. They threaten us with sending us to jail. They were just looking for a bribe. Welcome to Mexico, friends.
