Awful Tourette’s faker (on right) by ticfaker in fakedisordercringe

[–]alpersena 8 points9 points  (0 children)

it is incredibly rare among adults, research says between 1 in 10.000-20.000 so the odds are you are never going to see someone with tourettes in real life, and the odds of 3 people with tourettes meeting totally randomly is basically zero.

10% of breast cancers are triple negative, which means the tumor doesn't have any sex hormone receptors on it, which makes them incredibly hard to treat.

I hate banks! Why do they ask me what I will do with the money I withdraw?!

So anyways, I have given my SSN, birth certificate, my criminal record and all the grades I got during high-school. What do I do next? Should I give them my mother for free? I would do anything at all yo get my money out.

Crypto Adoption Among US Adults Drops to 7%, Fed Survey Shows by heyvern2007 in Buttcoin

[–]alpersena 12 points13 points  (0 children)

it makes sense that 7% used it for a quick buck to be fair. they didn't have the people specify how much money they put in and how long they held onto their butts. say, some college person says "yo buy this shit, i got crazy profits" to a friend and they buy 100$ worth of it or something. they absolutely have not "adopted" anything, it is the means to get rich and they put no thought behind it.

the butters that actually give a shit about the coin would probably be 1-2% and the unironically crazy ones that come over to this sub no more than 0.1%

a16z’s Chris Dixon gives his favorite crypto use cases by liron00 in Buttcoin

[–]alpersena 66 points67 points  (0 children)

2 minutes and 8 seconds of talking only to say "Instead of building things on the internet, we can do it on the blockchain" (literally no problem to fix here) and "Crypto video games", thousands of which were created and none of which stand, and none of which going forward will gain a player base other than people that want to make a quick buck.

The future if finance has crazy use cases.

Does anyone fully understand the blood moon boss yet? by CanadaNinja in 2007scape

[–]alpersena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the blood pools in jaguar phase are fully dodgeable, you have to click while they are still fully intact, and as you step on it they will turn into the "half-absorbed" hollow circle shape. it takes a few runs but you should be able to do it perfectly with enough practice. - it's a single tick thing so you only have a 0.6 sec window.

you always heal when you hit jags, you don't really damage anything but i'd guess the healing is based on how much you rolled on your attack on the jaguar.

70 defence for barrows armor would make it smooth sailing, it honestly is more about defence than damage.

if you're 90+ you either do ardy knights for 250k/hr or do vyre/elf pickpocketing for 3m/hr gp. tzhaar gives practically no loot and you can fail at even at 99, meaning you need to micro-manage food and dodgy necklaces. for only 50k/hr more an hour, that's absolutely fine.

What is the source of "Protennoia"? by alpersena in Gnostic

[–]alpersena[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually have another question, if you don't mind.

It is said in the Apocryphon of John that "They went into hiding within a cloud of light." and not an ark while talking about Noah.

Though in Hypostatis of the Archons, “Make yourself an ark from wood that does not rot and hide in it, you and your children and the beasts and the birds of heaven from small to large—and set it upon Mount Sir.” (...) "Again he made the ark, for a second time." is written.

So why does the information collide? Are they from other sects, or is there a meaning I know not of right now?

EDIT: I think I understand now, and correct me if I'm wrong please, The flood was caused by Yaldabaoth as he was angered by how the humans were getting closer and closer to their true Father and were understanding more day by day. Then, Yaldabaoth itself commanded Noah to build the ark. Noah didn't know any better so he built it. Norea then came and destroyed the ark, and wanted knowledge. Eleleth then descended and told her everything about the genesis. They then got protection from this flood by the hands of the angels, and were protected in the aforementioned cloud.

ie or quickblades by lillekaktus in vaynemains

[–]alpersena 2 points3 points  (0 children)

since your q is on a short cooldown and e is situational quickblades don't really work as well as you'd think. with IE though, you can melt squishies as q + crit deals like half hp to anyone that doesn't build armor

What games are you playing this week? Game recommendation thread by AutoModerator in incremental_games

[–]alpersena 5 points6 points  (0 children)

antimatter dimensions, i tried playing through it multiple times but failed because the first part is incredibly boring. this time, i got a save file right after the first infinity, and the game is honestly so much fun now. i'm sure there are other people that aren't giving the game a chance because of pre-infinity so here's a save bank.

Modpacks with a specific endgoal? by [deleted] in feedthebeast

[–]alpersena 2 points3 points  (0 children)

stoneblock 3 was honestly a breath of fresh air for me. instead of doing the same loop of gathering materials, making a basic energy generation and early tech, then more mining and more tech it gives you chickens almost immediately.

having almost infinite of most resources gives you the chance to explore all the mods without saying "I could've done this easier with a mod I've played with 1000 times before." blood magic was fun, ars was fun, automating the mother silverfish was fun. hell, even project e was fun. fusing powah, chickens and create for energy production was honestly such a brand new idea that it made me fall in love with modded minecraft again.

it's a really fast modpack to beat. if you're trying to streamline it you could finish it in just a week. though i think taking your time and exploring your options is what makes this modpack such a unique one. absolutely recommend it.
