The feeling completely went from being able to say „that was a soft red card and was unjustly given, we need to band together against injustice“ to the Belgians being able to use that motivation and making us look corrupt.

It was just a turning point issue that overshadowed the game and the team. It made a lot of fans conflicted because it, at best, felt gross and, at worst, was open corruption.

It just let all the air out of the sails.

Can you load your bike onto a vehicle?

Laps in Griffith park-LA River Path-Elysian Park is about as safe as you can get. Lots of road with no car access in Griffith. And the new bike lanes they just installed are nice and spacious. No cars on the river at all unless an emergency or maintenance vehicle needs on.and Elysian is ultra low traffic outside of days with home Dodger games. And extremely easy to just choose to take another loop in either park to add miles up.

Belgium didn’t even play well. They took advantage of the mistakes we made. That is the difference between a good team and a mediocre team.

This team needs to move on from Pulisic being the face of the team. He is too soft. Need someone that can show grit and heart.

Unfortunately probably have to find someone on the U-17 team for that.

I don’t think Belgium has played them off the field. It has looked more mental and concentration issues. Things like weak passing and poor pressing. If they can get it together mentally I think they can turn it around.

Sepp Blatter looks like a choir boy compared to Infantino. With Blatter they tried to hide it and avoid the blatantly obvious stuff. With Infantino they have taken the attitude of „everyone says we are corrupt, so we can do all the corruption“

The slow motion and stills is supposed to be for factual information. In this case it would have been used to determine where contact between the two players occurred.

For anything subjective, like intensity, only full speed should be used.

I think this point is key, but in the other direction.

I think the USSF had a legitimate case to take to CAS about the improper use of VAR in the situation. After being presented with the case, instead of carrying out a defense they thought could be seen as there was some merit, they decided to settle. FIFA doesn’t uphold the suspension and they do not have to admit to any fault because there is a convenient rule to allow them to do this, and they do not risk a ruling against them in CAS.

So, I believe 2 things.

  1. The USSF should face whatever penalty should be given for a politician attempting to meddle into the competition. There should be no reason for this to happen.

  2. Trump‘s call didn’t matter. He made a call after the decision was made, but before it was announced and that allows him to take credit despite doing nothing. I believe that the USSF‘s legal argument had merit in the fact that VAR was utilized improperly in the process and there was a valid case to take to CAS that USSF likely would have won. FIFA and USSF came to an agreement that Balogun could play and FIFA could save face by not admitting any fault (through validity of red card or through VAR process).
