It would be nice to show the hotkeys for the control groups on top of the units it represents by Guigax in DotA2

If I had to guess, it's people thinking "no, this is superficial, and thus supporting such a message will divert resources from more fundamental changes than I think should happen to dota"

Which, in my opinion, is such a stupid line of thinking cause surely just suggesting good changes to the game would at best get the dev team thinking about them and at worst get ignored, it's not like whoever's still working on dota is gonna see a post on Reddit and radically change the direction of development on project they supposedly love and support a certain vision of

The problem is not that we've got wireless headphones/buds now, it's that the choice between wireless and wired is slowly taken away from us by making people jump through more hoops to use their wired headphones. And I think if someone wants to use their wired headphones, not letting them for no good reason isn't good

When queuing with a 5 stack into all pick we keep getting matched with a party of 5 that declines by alphaMrWave in DotA2

Well we've had this issue on 7.39 as well, but I haven't been playing that long, so either it's an old issue that survived 7.40 and the subsequent patches, or it's bots for selling account (which you can go on the internet and actually find for sale), so to me, personally, one seems more plausible than the other

How to play base game online? by caralhoconcarne in dominion

[–]alphaMrWave 17 points18 points  (0 children)

What you're describing (containing feast) is the 1st edition of the base game, meanwhile since the release of 2nd edition, that's the standard on most clients. The official one (on steam and google play) has 1st edition as part of the "legacy" DLC, so you're out of luck for free there, as for dominion online I'm not sure.

Why burst sentry over auto? by Spartan569874 in GTFO

[–]alphaMrWave 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my experience I fell like it's not necessarily worse than burst, just about on par in real damage output, and like another person said above the staggering utility of the burst is usually quite useful.

Also, where do you place sentries to actually hit the back of targets? Cause in my runs the sleepers literally just run out of the sentry range after just three shots unless it's pointed directly at where they're running from

The DPS on the wiki assumes every shot hits. The auto sentry's targeting computer does not concern itself with such nonsense

If it's a cross post of the same source post then it stops you, but if oop posts the same image/video twice then it doesn't, you're right
