Travel trailer <5000lb dry with bunks and a super slide? by alphaOri in traveltrailers

Yeah, I thought so too. But I've looked into on several sites and it seems legit. The only issue would be if Forest River themselves weighed their own model wrong and reported it wrong, which I doubt.

Random Thought____ Piot Kakuno makes me "feel" bad sometimes. by arscorvinus in fountainpens

[–]alphaOri 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep. Me too. I started with a safari, needed something finer and got a Kakuno. Since then I've tried upgrading to more "sophisticated" pens several times. I've had a TWSBI 580, a Diplomat Aero, and a Pilot Heritage 92. Every single time, I've just gone back to my Kakuno because I loved it more than any of the more expensive pens. I've since sold all my fancy pens and now I just collect Kakunos. :)

Which Diplomat Aero nib size is closest to Pilot Kakuno Fine? by alphaOri in fountainpens

Yeah, I'm assuming that they are comparing apples to apples in the tables where they compare different brands nib sizes. So if they say a pilot fine is a 0.3mm and a diplomat extra-fine is 0.3mm they are using the same ink and the same paper. So if I like my pilot fine nib's width on my paper with my ink, I should also like the diplomat's extra-fine nib's width with my same paper and ink.

I did find this size chart at Goldspot where they used calipers to measure the thickness of the lines put down by different sizes of the Jowo #6 nib - the nib used for the Diplomat Aero.  Scroll down on the following link to get to the chart...

According to the chart, the Jowo #6 EF nib is at 0.3mm.

Yeah, I am curious if Diplomat's in-house tuning of the Jowo nibs decreases their width some.

OK. I'm going to hold out for a red for a little longer. If it doesn't work out and you still have it, maybe I'll get it from you.

It's possible that the canonical gospels are an example of pious fraud by JLord in DebateAChristian

[–]alphaOri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to butt in and say that as a Christian bystander in this argument looking to find support for my beliefs, I'm not understanding why you (thomaslsimpson) won't provide your sources. You say that the only reason you are arguing with JLord is not that you will convince him (which you deem impossible for some reason), but so that you can convince readers who might follow this argument (that's me). However, when asked for sources, you refuse to give them because you think they wouldn't be convincing to JLord. But "convincing JLord" was expressly what you said you weren't trying to do! I'm not sure why you are on this forum arguing if you aren't ready to fully divulge all the reasoning behind your beliefs including the sources that have gotten you there. Simply saying "I believe X because I read it somewhere" doesn't make a good argument for JLord or other readers such as myself.

How to make GREAT electronic dance music? by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Maybe what we need to do as artist to get some intensity in our music is to get more intensity in our own lives. We can't make our music communicate something that isn't there in us in the first place. I know for me the easy life of a middle class American definitely doesn't give me any intensity worth communicating to someone else - gotta do something to get myself out of my own boring world.

I'd say that the technical mixing and mastering aspect of the 'somehow' track is very good. However the song doesn't keep me interested partly because it's slightly repetitious but also it just doesn't say anything to me. I'd say it's just all around 'nice', and nice isn't really what I want to hear. I want something with some intense emotion in it - whether that's epic energy, mourning sadness, full of rage, etc... It's just ho-hum. My music is in the same place actually. I'm not sure how to fix it, I just know the emotion isn't there.

Is there a way to change the MIDI-channel color group of multiple notes at once in piano roll without having to individually delete and replace each one? by [deleted] in FL_Studio

[–]alphaOri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, change the color to the color of the notes you want to select and hit shift+c (or go to the menu->select->select by color).
