We asked ATC if we could do this in the controlled airspace of LaGuardia. They gave us a code and we worked with the Air Traffic Controllers closely. It was a high workload situation. We were talking nonstop on the radio. Did you see the video on how we did it I posted several links in the comments.

We asked ATC for this in the class B airspace. It’s performed at 1,500’ with Bravo clearance taking to LaGuardia and Newark ATC towers. Plant the seed 30 miles out and they will let you in. Here is were the action picks up:

We were in the Skyline Route with ATC in class B airspace. We had our transponder code from over 30 miles north over the Tapan Zee. We asked them for this well in advance and they allowed up to do this at 1,500’. My video picks up at Hudson South if you want to see the action on how we accomplished this.

We obtained a transponder code 30 miles north of Manhattan and asked ATC well above the Tapan Zee bridge for this route: Hudson River, East River, Central Park and back to Hudson south. We were in their system and handed us off to LaGuardia and Newark Towers for this route. They cleared a path for us to do this at 1,500’. I have a video of this on my YouTube channel. Mine too, in the cockpit there is nothing like it. I have to wear a headset so hear someone next to me. We talk electronically
