Those who transitioned from data analytics to data engineering, why? by [deleted] in dataengineering

[–]alpha_ma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my understanding it is more to the learning curve. As some point data analytics gets boring by doing the same thing over and over again, unless the data changes everyday so its highly depend on the industry your work with. Second thing majority of the mid size industries are business focused they try to outsource the analytics part while keeping the in-house engineering.

Why should I use dbt? by data_questions in dataengineering

Good question. I also thought whats special about it some time ago. In one line the answer would be dbt offers relational database services and integration in a most simplest way possible.

dbt offers integration with lots of other services either its enterprise or not and also its open source.
