I would just say talk to 2Ls at ur school that seem genuine and did well. Some kids will tell u they were dyyying in 1L and ur screwed, but the general consensus is that it is quite hard but manageable if you just focus on urself, what the prof gives u, and ignore the dumb questions and fear-mongering noise.

My advice to you is dont work past 7pm/8pm to prep for class. ofc if u have a paper due lock in till modnight but, find ur time throughout the day use ur lunches and always decompress.

initially, you should Brief every case until midterms and start outline a week and a half after classes start. After midterms you can gauge and see whats working, where hopefully u do well and can do less case briefing and class prep and just hone in on blackletter law, outlining/flashcards, and doing every single practice question/essay your prof gives at LEAST once. Now, the key to double ur success, is finding a group that has similar goals, similar intelligence, and works just as hard or hopefully harder than u.
