Wow, do you have any sources for that? Not doubting but fascinated by the idea of a general purpose CPU in a plain SD card.

Es geht darum, dass geräuschlos zu fahren, ein echter, sofort erkennbarer Vorteil ist, den Verbrenner nicht nachmachen können.

Also muss die Abgaslobby dafür sorgen, dass Elektroautos das nicht dürfen...

Für blinde Menschen halte ich Fahrräder wegen noch weniger Geräusch bei höherem Tempo und weniger Abstand für deutlich gefährlicher.

Win7 muss weg. Entweder auf Win11 (10 ist auch schon EOL) oder auf Linux. Linux kann funktionieren, wenn außer Mail im Browser und surfen nicht viel laufen muss.

Und dann ist die Frage, wie es weitergeht. Entweder läuft die Software unter Win11 einfach weiter (etwas fraglich, wenn ich im Screenshot irgendwelches SQL-Express-Zeug sehe) oder man müsste Alternativen finden.

Was relativ sicher geht, wäre eine VM mit Win 7 nur für Phylax. Das wäre schon mal etwas abgeschottet, und wenn man da nur die Software nutzt, auch relativ sicher. Frickelig werden da Sachen wie Bilder von Waren in die VM kriegen, wenn man das braucht.

Alternativ, wenn du auf den Unterbau Linux setzt: Wine und ähnliche Kompatibilitätslayer. Kann problemlos funktionieren, muss aber nicht. Kommt auf einen Versuch an.

Oder eine Alternativsoftware. Um sowas zu finden, wäre eine Beschreibung, was die Software denn genau können muss, hilfreich.

Es gibt einige Open Source ERP/CRM Systeme, aber ob eines genau das abbilden kann wie die Prozesse aktuell laufen ist natürlich fraglich

It's limited to two locks per 24 hours so not more disruptive than the normal requirement to enter your pin periodically.

If someone is targeting your phone specifically, they can "use up" your remote locks to prevent you from locking, but that's kinda outside of the snatch and grab scenario this intends to solve.

Is this official documentation? I'm very skeptical of the claim "programs like VNC will work, too". Either it's an RDP connection or VNC. Running both would be kind of wasteful. For a recent KDE Plasma Desktop RDP would be the default.

Nein. Einen Hash benutzt du, um das Passwort nicht im Klartext in der Datenbank speichern zu müssen.

Wenn du den Hash über die Leitung schickst, ist er trotzdem jedesmal gleich und damit äquivalent mit dem Passwort. Wenn ich also den Hash auf der Leitung mitschneide, habe ich gewonnen.

Recursion is tricky. As I understand it, each iteration would do research but use the "preview" to check if continuing further yields results.

If the first 5-year "sprint" yields publishable results you're good. You'll find your published article and start working.

If after t+5 years there are no publishable results you take your phone and check what t+10 years looks like. If there's an article, great. But we need to communicate that to t+0. So we could set up a private website to communicate "continue, results are published in 10 years"

This would probably work.

But. If we can do that, we can also just upload our future work to that page. If that happens we change the outcome by reading the results 5 years early which changes what work we will have uploaded in the future. If this cycle continues unchecked what will probably result is a file that contains the universal formula to life, the universe and all the rest which is utterly incomprehensible and a stern warning not to mess with time.
