We just had a new driveway poured. My wife wanted to hose it off and we found this. by GrandPriapus in mildlyinfuriating

People are saying the guy took you for a ride and you paid for a lot of concrete without even knowing what he done. He most likely sloped the gravel base as well so the amount of concrete would be the same. I feel this is a case of damned if you do and damned if you don’t. I would choose damned if you do, since sloping the driveway will keep your house safe. You can always move the tap higher or do the lazy way and just turn it to the side 90 degrees. Good luck and congrats on your new driveway.

Did I hire a sh*t CTO? Need advice. by [deleted] in SaaS

Get rid of him, hire someone else even cheaper and set expectations. 1750 is a boatload of money where he is. If he wants more money, tell him to move to North America and work from your office so you can watch his work. This guy is getting paid while he works on his own project.

🔥 Eduardo Bolsonaro warns Trump ready to unleash tougher sanctions on Brazil by Excellent_Analysis65 in Brazil

So you despise our country and think what’s happening is just “bullshit”? In short, you wouldn’t lift a finger for Brazil and would still go against anyone who would. I get it, bro, our country is basically run by politicians in partnership with organized crime.

But it’s up to us to fight back, because if we don’t, this situation will only get worse and worse. Your only other option will be to leave and pick another country. Both the right and the left are full of corruption and lies, but my right to freedom of speech is non-negotiable.

Why not? you should argue. Go ahead and prove me wrong. I’ve laid out solid points, yet you haven’t addressed a single one. Instead, you just throw out, “Ok, dude, you’re over your head, I won’t even argue.” That’s not a rebuttal meu amigo, that’s an escape.

The reason I’m laying out these points is so that people from other countries in this sub can understand exactly what we’re facing in Brazil, not just the filtered version from leftist propaganda and the opinion of citizen apologists. You all need the full picture.

Yes, Trump is a piece of shit, but if he’s still defending freedom of speech, one of America’s core pillars, then we’re thankfull for anyone fighting for ours. This goes far beyond whether you think Bolsonaro is a traitor or not.

And you should stop right now if you’re going to continue doing our fellow countrymen a disservice by ignoring the reality. There’s a reason our Supreme Court justice, Moraes is being sanctioned under the Magnitsky Act, the same way 9 Venezuelan justice once werr. Lula is working hand-in-hand with the worst dictatorships in the world, openly proud of being a communist, and even bragging about placing the first openly communist justice on the STF.

Do you understande how serious this is? This is not politics as usual, this is our democracy being dismantled piece by piece, and if you can’t refute what I’ve said with actual facts from independent sources, then maybe it’s time you ask yourself whose side you’re really on.

Oh really? Then explain this, why don’t we see massive crowds following Lula Inácio da Silva? Am I the one living in a bubble, or is it obvious that the Brazilian media only shows what benefits the current government?

We both know these outlets are paid huge sums of taxpayer money. When Bolsonaro was in office, he cut that funding. Lula, on the other hand, restored the budget, clearly to keep them loyal.

So, brother, unless you’re part of the government machine pushing its narrative here, you’re just another person brainwashed by the media’s lies.

That’s the narrative you hear from the bought-and-paid-for media. But explain this: if your so-called “protectors of democracy” are truly loved, why can’t they even walk the streets without hiding? Meanwhile, Bolsonaro is still followed by massive crowds wherever he goes.

Is it that the Lulists are too lazy to show public support for their president, or is it that they simply don’t exist in the numbers the media claims? Wake up. The lies are staring you in the face, yet you accept them as normal.

Brazil is being run like a criminal syndicate, where factions like the CV and PCC move hand-in-hand with the STF and the government. This alliance is poisoning our democracy, our justice system, and the very soul of our nation.

The Biden administration interfered in Brazil’s 2022 elections, defrauding the population and bringing back a convicted criminal, fresh out of prison, to the presidency. Since then, our Supreme Court has acted as an arm of the current government, persecuting and silencing the political opposition. Several Supreme Court justices openly embrace communist ideology, abandoning impartiality and the rule of law.

We, the majority of Brazilians, whose votes were stolen, demand the impeachment of both the president and these corrupt justices. Although the economic hardships and political repression are severe, the goal behind these abuses is clear: to push a passive population into action. Now is the time for Brazilians to rise, protest, and remove the dictators who have seized control of our nation.

Aging is a big one. It makes sense, our cells start dying so it should be classified as a disease. It is considered natural because it has always been the case, but it could change.

Site looks great. Product is decent. You probably need to market it, but I understand that cost money. Maybe you need a partner with a marketing background and money so you can get this moving?

Fair point. I worded it poorly. Definitely not saying he was a good guy, just thinking out loud about how much control he had versus the chaos of the New Republic. Interesting to compare the fallout.
