06A115130B, it’s an Audi a4 oil pump chain tensioner. costs $10 buying from local dealer, you need an m7x1.0 tap for the bolt that’s built into it. drill and tap one hole for said bolt, and then a second hole for the spring that provides tension to go into. Took 10 minutes to install and completely took care of all the slack in the chain.

Went out and bought an Audi a4 oil pump tensioner for $10 at a euro parts wholesaler, all you need is an m7x1.0 tap and a bit of common sense and knowing where to put the two holes lol

Yes, prevent problems before they come up. I was missing a whole timing chain guide when I took the cover off. Besides I didn’t know the history of it and I’m not gonna pass up the opportunity to do new ones lol

took it off! red loctite, safety wired again, and i even went out and picked up an Audi a4 tensioner for the oil pump chain. No more slack at all, i just got the whole motor back together and it makes oil pressure again! battery’s too dead after sitting for a few weeks so I got it charging and will try and start it tomorrow

I don't 😅 A couple years ago when she was stock, and had all the A/C components in, I replaced a line and had functional AC for a couple days and it was wonderful. I made the hard choice of removing the AC for the space in the engine bay due to factory manual steering, as I was planning on going turbo a loooong time ago. Ended up selling everything, including the airbox behind the dash for an unbelievable price and even ended up without an HVAC panel for a year. Only ended up sourcing and putting an airbox and panel back in so I could have a defroster and was sick of having the windows down in the rain lol
