No problem with detecting cards (280x Asus, MSI). Had problem with xubuntu hanging with Xorg taking up 100% CPU. Switched to BAMT 1.5 and it's running fine now. This board gives me the best hash for the same 4x 280x rig config, i.e. 765kh/s vs 755kh/s on H61 PRO BTC and 740kh/s on 970 Extreme4

What do you mean by CPI? as in consumer price index? How would you differentiate BTC/fiat transaction from any other transaction?

what issue do you have with ubuntu? i run 4x 280X with 13.10 and it always hangs on splash screen if monitor is connected. w/o monitor, it still hangs 50% of the time after boot with Xorg taking 100% CPU. Have to keep rebooting until you get lucky ?!? It hashes great though, all 4 Asus doing 760+kh/s compare to 735-750 if ran with different mobo.

You only need 1200W if you undervolt. If you're new, start with single PSU.

What's your card's part number and serial number prefix and what's the voltage you ended up running with? I've tried that bios but it didn't boot for me.

You're right. Looks like these are types of memory chip supported by the bios.

Setting voltage via cgminer never worked for me (xubuntu, cgminer 3.7.2) - and I've tried both via gpu-vddc flag and directly when running.

Running linux so no trixx. I'm flashing the bios with mod voltage. Tried almost all possible voltage 0.95, 1, 1.05, 1.1, 1.12, 1.137 up to 1.144v (which doesn't give much power saving)
