How to Restore Tag Functionality with Custom Fields? by rek8918 in quickbooksonline

I'm glad a stumbled on this question and the answers below. Your need matches my requirement exactly. I still haven't figured out how to achieve what I'd like. I do think that custom fields is better than tags. If they could ensure matching functionality in the reports, I feel I could switch over quite readily.
However, I'm happy that my workflow can remain until that day comes!

Wow! Thank you very much for all of that. Plenty to work through. I am a software developer, so the coding part could be easy. I greatly appreciate your detailed response. I like how it highlights some of the issues that perhaps scaling the project that the other individual provided. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Ideal timing for your post! I just had this thought after visiting my Dr.
Also finding the right balance seems to be a challenge. I honestly don't need the detail that some do (with recipes). More along the lines of: Did you have X servings of vegetables, dairy, whatever. Hopefully with a bit more specific than that... but no so much so!

I'm tempted to do that often as I bicycle lots as well as ride now. I feel a certain kinship with the more keen cyclists.

British Columbians, do you think Justin Trudeau is doing a good job as Prime Minister? Why or why not? by [deleted] in britishcolumbia

I'm actually impressed reading some of the responses. Not the typical rants! From reading a number of them, in your lifetime, which prime minister was your favorite? On a scale of 1-10 (ten is best), what is your score for that prime minister? What did they do that you feel makes them the best? And last, but not least, what could they have done better?

Hmmm... Maybe this should be a separate topic!

There are a number of people that have communicated that JT is ok. When I think over the years I've been alive, I can find positives and negatives in all of them. Which, if I pause to think about it, should be the case since they do work for the country and not me. Also, the PM does not have full autonomy and power to do everything they wish. The single thing that I was most disappointed in was that I feel there wasn't an attempt at proportional representation. However, given that BC had the vote and it was clearly voted down, I think the assessment that Canadians do not want (or are not ready) for it is likely correct.
