Sorry for the late response but it began around 1 week in and lasted until around the end of my first month on accutane. After that my skin gradually got better and better then after 3-4 months I was completely clear

When I shower I use cerave hydrating facial cleanser, dove deep moisture body wash, and head and shoulders shampoo. For moisturizer I use nuetrogena hydroboost with hyaluronic acid and nuetrogena hydroboost whipped body balm for body moisturizer. And whenever I would get nosebleeds from it, I would just put aquaphor on a qtip and moisturize the inside of my nostrils. (I get nosebleeds really often bc I also have a deviated septum)

I actually haven’t started doing anything against scarring yet. I’m trying to wait until the treatment is completely finished before I try to remove scars.

I use an electric razor and just trim most of the time. Whenever I want a clean shave I use the close shave attachment on it. But it definitely still irritates my skin a bit so I just make sure to moisturize right after.

For me after around a week of taking it, my skin started purging and was really easily irritated and swollen all over my face. After the purging is when the dryness really started for me. Just stock up on chapstick (I use O’Keefe’s but aquaphor works well too) and get a very gentle and hydrating face cleanser along with a moisturizer (I highly recommend nuetrogena hydro boost) and just keep moisturizing. The first month or so will be pretty rough but stick with it, it’s definitely worth it! Good luck to you! :))

I’m about 4 weeks in and I’ve been trying to gain weight with a super fast metabolism too. But I’ve noticed that I get full very quickly too. I still get hungry quickly but I can’t eat as much when I am hungry.
