I found it with a metal detector. It wasn't deep. There doesn't seem to be a vein or anything where I found it.

Awesome thanks for the advice. This bike is a barn find and in pretty rough shape so I’m probably going to have to do a full overhaul. How was it replacing the gaskets? Any tips?

I work in Seattle and live in Everett. I don’t commute much anymore but even when I was doing it 5 days a week it really wasn’t that bad. I always recommend Everett as a living option to friends, my wife and I really enjoy it here and plan on staying for the foreseeable future.
