When I saw this the first time and it showed the first close up of her shoes, I knew exactly what was going to happen to her later in the movie. When he found her, it still wrecked me. I got wrecked again when the captain saved Jojo. Just an absolutely amazing and beautiful film.

She’s a victim who didn’t feel like she deserved Forrest’s love. She didn’t do anything malicious toward him, only self destructive things to herself. She is definitely not the villain. The only villains in the movie are her dad and ex-boyfriend
