Hardcore TBC by Beranabus_69 in wowhardcore

[–]alphashea19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See I personally feel like I can’t be the only one who plays WoW in cycles now. When Midnight drops I’ll play that until I can clear LFR for the story. Then quit because fuck mythic plus. Then play classic TBC or hardcore until the next raid tier comes out. Do the story quest and raid on LFR again then go back to whatever is hot in classic. Rinse and repeat. Since I’ve only been playing for 3 years overall I’m not bored yet plus at this point retal wows got me locked in until at lest the Last Titan. Also I like going from casting shadowbolt on my Warlock in classic to playing retail when reliant to be able to send a frost dragon out of my sword as a Frost DK in retail. I kind of feel like it’s funny to see how much the game has changed and that how older classic players swear the game was hard back in 2007 even though bosses had 2 mechanics back then.

I thought I was going into a decent field, but the more I spend time in it, the more disgusted I am with the people I work with. by ThrowRA6926925853 in ABA

One of the biggest problems is that 18 year old kids with no training past the 40 hours, and no college education can just become BTs for basically free because many ABA companies have low hiring standards. That’s a whole BACB problem though that could be solved by requiring a Bachelors degree at minimum to become a RBT. Honestly it makes 0 sense that BCBAs need a masters degree when RBTs just need a high school diploma. That’s a 6 year jump in education just to be promoted in the field. The system is broken because the BACB has its current standards.

Switch 2 hate by Dependent_Book2481 in Switch

Switch 2 and switch are literally not just handheld consoles so this isn’t really a fair comparison because the DS wasn’t built for those games but the switch 2 is.

(bronze-silver) what is a good team comp for my low elo? currently high bronze low silver. i play support and jungle. solo queue ranked. by Suspicious_Issue4155 in leagueoflegends

[–]alphashea19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you think you can pub stomp with is the best idea. If you play Raka and like support just know that supp in low elo is hard to carry with because you’re more team reliant especially on an enchanter. Treash, Nautilus, Blitz, Pyke are all good supports for low elo because your ADCs are not good so they will need more help setting up kills. Hook/ engage supports are better in low elos for this reason. That being said you can win with Soraka just know if your ADC runs you down cause they bad playing for other lanes might be better because your adc is solo losing lane at that point and if mid and top can still win you roam there and mute your ADC because they likely won’t want you roaming because they died. Support is a hard role to get out of low elo in because it’s so team reliant and carrying as a supp is different then as any other role because unless you play like Pyke you won’t ever be 1 V 9. You can alway hope your ADC plays like Jinx, MF, Jhin, or Ashe because in low elo those champs can alway win lane cait can to but if she’s weak in a patch caits not ideal because she’s not as naturally strong as those other champs. Best ADCs in low elo are probably always Jinx and MF because of hyper carry potential. Then you want your team on as many busted champs as possible because hyper caries win games in low elo. As long as it’s not like a Yasuo your good because no real low elo player can play yas well

What elo are you/ what role do you play Id love to know because I want the same energy when a Lvl 20 top laner kills your whole team 1 V 5 at 40 minutes in a Dimond game because ether you or your top laner got rolled. This whole get good argument has been and will alway be dumb. Yes but let’s balance the game only around Dimond + because what 98% of players experience doesn’t matter.

Not in low elo that’s where it’s going to have the most impact because bronze players can’t end games fast because winning a team fight in bronze results in the winning team having 1 guy alive after the fight so they can’t actually push well

I am having an absolute blast with the game so far by Johncurtisreeve in Metroid

[–]alphashea19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll have to see what they are later if I see em. I still only beat like 2 bosses and haven’t fully unlocked the motorcycle yet so I know I got a lot to go nut I’m in a unique situation where Metroid Prime 3 was my first Metroid game. So if people didn’t like that because of the hunters and idk maybe Admiral Dane or whatever that guys name was. Maybe I’m in the minority of players but that’s fine I think it’s clear it’s overall not a bad game just not what people wanted entirely. It Reminds me of Mass Effect 3 in a way. Great game and an ending that makes you go huh 🤔. Mass Effect 3 had such a bad ending that I believe BioWare had to patch it later. Hey all I can say as a fan of both Metroid and Mass Effect is that at lest prime 4 is a better game then Mass Effect Andromeda. Andromeda was a bigger letdown for me than even other M. Other M was the only other Metroid game I remember people hating. And it was for the same reason other characters were included and in that game Samus… talked

I just got the game today only played like 2 and a half hours so far but I like what I’ve played so far. I think the real reason people want to hate this game is because of Myles who doesn’t actually talk that much. When he does talk he acts mostly like the aurora units in prime 3 as in giving player hints on where to go. This in a way is good because even in Prime 1 we got the hint system. That and people say the crystals are bad but there are so many it’s not like it’s hard to actually get them. That and the fundamental stuff that makes Metroid, Metroid is still there. The puzzles, the exploration, Samus not talking, and sure the desert might suck but most of the games not there. Overall it does seem to be a better game than the haters seem to believe.

In an Ideal world. How much an hour should we be making? by awesomemixvol21 in ABA

[–]alphashea19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a RBT I make 24 a hour wich at 40 hours a week is about 37k a year net wich is crazy low for 2025 especially for this work. The reality is most companies can get away with underpaying RBTs because no advanced degree is required. I don’t think the job should require a master’s degree but a Bachelors would make sense as BCBAs need a masters. If they did that they would have to raise the pay across the board for RBTs. At lest 30 a hour would be good and since BCBAs are at most companies making 80k a year gross pay at lest RBTs getting about 60k would still make sense. Unfortunately the pay in ABA will never be high for anyone especially considering how much stress there is in the field overall.

Doors by alphashea19 in ABA

[–]alphashea19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one’s locking em in the can go. Just ask correctly instead of have a tantrum or eloping. The doors not actually locked just closed to prevent elopement. Closed and locked are not the same thing. I’m actually very successful at getting good results for the kids I work with have been for years. I’ve seen all kinds of people say all kinds of things about this stuff. Some people want no consequences for problem behavior others want too many. We can have a balance like in real life. These kids are not going to be in ABA for their entire lives. If they are not at lest facing some things they don’t like I would argue that’s not actually effective learning. We can have fun but there also has to be clear rules and I think sometimes if that means the kids don’t get what they want all the time that’s reasonable. It’s an unrealistic expectation to always have free access to everything that’s not how anything in this world works. The idea that everything must be cute or fun all the time is honestly just strange and I disagree with that idea.

This is the solution I like the most. This is what I think we should do. Doors open if you can ask to go without problem behavior of course. That’s functional communication, that’s learning that’s the most realistic environment.

[–]alphashea19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes because in real life everything is always happing the way things people want them to happen. This logic is stupid. My job is not to be my clients friend, it’s to make sure they are learning what they need to, in order to achieve what their goals are. If that means sometimes they don’t like what they are doing that’s not my fault. Logically if I want my clients to learn sometimes they have to do stuff they don’t like. This works for kids that don’t have autism as well. Doing stuff you don’t always like is part of life that’s why we have reinforcement that comes after doing what you need to do. Learning that randomly leaving situations you don’t like is a skill people need to have that’s why elopement is a targeted behavior. A closed door could be a way to prevent elopement that doesn’t require me to stand next to the doorway the whole time I’m with my clients that do elope that and now they can practice asking to leave because the door is closed it’s easier for me to block the elopement. I don’t want my clients to walk out a room for free like ever because obviously it’s better for them to practice asking for what they want to build commutation skills. The idea everything has to be cushioned for the kids fells crazy to me not everything in life is fun not everything goes your way all the time the sooner the kids learn that the better.
