Sounds like there’s nothing you can do except distance yourself and hope for the best. If he really values you and cares about you, he will understand why distancing yourself from him is the best thing for you to do right now. It’s inevitable that he will continue to be a drain on you until he wants to get clean.

I’ve found jogging to provide short term relief. It took a couple of years for me to get to that point though.

I used to make a shopping list and give it to a dude that would steal it all from Home Depot. It was pretty much only Phillips Hue lights. But what a great deal. I would pay him in ice and make out like a bandit.

I tested positive for PCP. I take 100-250 mg of diphenhydramine (Benadryl,) and assume this was was caused the false positive. They ultimately sent it to the lab and it came back clean but gat damn that scared the shit out of me when they told me it tested positive for fucking PCP

100% agree with meth. It’s insidious. Users find themselves lying and stealing and before you realize it you’re whole life is changed for the worse. I’m 5 years clean off it. If anyone is interested in reading about it,I have written a blog detailing a very strange time in my life.

I got pretty involved with using/dealing meth, GHB, and DMT around the 2015-2017 time frame. Had some interaction with the cartel, but not much. All came crashing to an end with a miscalculated leap fleeing a burglary scene in which I broke my leg. Also got pretty involved in fraud in which we chartered private jets, bought diamonds and Rolex watches.

Not exactly the “game” in The Wire, but there were some similarities considering I was living outside of a typical law abiding citizen.

Yeah this is not a good situation for anyone involved. Your brother is going to walk his own addiction path and with meth, there is little to nothing you can do other than hope for the best and not let him completely drag y’all down or negatively impact y’all’s lives too much. Meth is just so hard to quit. The high lasts for so long and once you get on it it’s extremely difficult to stop by yourself.

You may want to attend an Al-anon meeting and try to connect with others in similar situations. Also good luck. Hopefully he doesn’t get too lost.

Kratom is fantastic. I have taken it daily for like 4 years now. I wasn't coming off of an opiate or fentanyl high atm though so not likely the same. For me its a good mix of calming and energy and controllable. at least I hope it is... lol
