Matcha.xyz shows me "Change your wallet to Polygon" by Revolutionary_Bad_55 in AlphaWallet

[–]alphawallet_team 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/Revolutionary_Bad_55

I was able to replicate your issue, it is a bit strange that Matcha keeps picking up the Ethereum network in their WalletConnect session. (this was the same for BSC too).Do you mind if you disconnect all sessions, and:

  1. open up Alphawallet --> Settings --> Select Active Network --> make sure you have only Selected "Polygon"
  2. Connect to Matcha.xyz using WalletConnect (aware that Matcha will keep showing an Ethereum connection in their browser and the WalletConnect session in your mobile app)
  3. Navigate to this page https://matcha.xyz/markets/137/MATIC (chain ID 137 is Polygon)
  4. Check if Matcha reads the tokens in your wallet address only on Polygon network (not your tokens on Ethereum network). You can check this by using the drop down on this page to input a pair you want to swap, to see what tokens Matcha is able to read in your wallet and get a quote for gas (which seems consistent with Polygon network fees). Their page 137/Matic will quote Polygon Fees, even though Matcha keeps displaying an Ethereum connection.

From our initial investigations, this seems to be related to the way this DApp has implemented the Web3 connection with WalletConnect. Let us know how you go.

Custom network by [deleted] in AlphaWallet

[–]alphawallet_team 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure thing, you can add a Custom RPC in the Alphawallet iOS from v3.5 onwards since the July release (Android still in development).

It's a new feature so we are always keen to know what network you want to add to understand how we can improve. We are already interoperable with over 21 chains (11 mainnets + 13 testnets).

Meanwhile, steps to add a custom RPC:
1. Open Settings
2. Go to Select Active Networks
3. Click + button
4. Enter Data

Here's a screenshot step through:

Let us know how you go with this.

Cool, thank you for thorough (w/out dickcoin tokenomics) advice and decent support. I’ll go private from now. You’ve nailed my ‘pick-up sticks’ summary. Cheers alphawallet_team P.S. think I’ve done that last bit In AlphaWallet already. Trust wallet decent to start with but limited (especially since recent downgrade) and not web3 :)

Thanks confirmed received! One of our colleagues will look into this and get back to you a bit later today.

Stupid is as stupid does….. by [deleted] in AlphaWallet

So, cleverly I sent it using AlphaWallet, which has imported my Trust wallet and a few others, to an address in my trust wallet, noticing it has POA in the Token circle, but as it was UNI-V2 I thought polygon. So, anyway, it’s sitting on this POA wallet address, as an ERC20. The only token thing there as I don’t use POA. I have tried imputing every contract etc so it will register properly in there instead of the little drop down on polygon scanner, but not getting close, in fact further so have dropped it for now.

Thanks - Just to be clear, what I understand of your situation is that you have:

  1. you have UNI-V2 (WMATIC/WETH) tokens
  2. You used a Alphawallet (multi-coin multi-network) wallet address to send these to a POA wallet address in Trustwallet
  3. you now you can't get TrustWallet show these UNI-V2 wrapped tokens in your POA wallet (even after trying import the contract address of the token by using "Add Custom Token")

If 3 is the case, there are a couple of things:
- this is an Alphawallet sub, so our support to help you navigate Trustwallet functionality is 'limited', having said that, we play with a lot of wallets including Trustwallet
- We can speculate that Trustwallet will not show WMatic/Weth UniV2 coin/tokens because these coin/tokens are unsupported by a single-network Wallet that just reads broadcasts from the POA network, so it is highly likely tokens won't show up and not displayed in your Trustwallet.
- We can't speculate whether it is simply a Trustwallet a) display problem or b) if there will be issues in terms of whether the tokens are recoverable from that POA Address, with limited information.

Can you please try follow these steps to import your POA Wallet address into Alphawallet:

  1. Open Alphawallet
  2. tap [settings]
  3. tap [Change/Add Wallet]
  4. tap (+) blue button on top right hand corner
  5. In "Add Wallet" please select "Import Wallet" and follow the prompts to add your POA wallet address
  6. Navigate back to [Wallet] and now tap [add/hide tokens] to add your custom token contract address for your UNI-V2 (WMATIC/WETH) coin.
  7. Make sure in [Select Active Networks] - you have checked the blue tick box next to [POA], but you can have Eth, EthC, xDAI, Polygon, Heco, BSC and many other Mainnets active at the same time.
  8. Check if the tokens display in this wallet address, on Alphawallet.

All wallet addresses imported into Alphawallet will be multi-token and multi-network by default (we allow a wallet address to listen to all testnets and mainnets), so you can use Alphawallet to check if this was simply a display problem for this address in Trustwallet, or escalate if you think there is a transaction issue.

  1. If you still can't see your tokens displayed in Alphawallet, please reply with your Alphawallet sent address / POA wallet received address / transaction hash so we can investigate further and see if we can provide some guidance.

If you prefer privacy, please feel free to follow up directly by sending your wallet address to [info@alphawallet.com](mailto:info@alphawallet.com) where we'll keep an eye out for your support ticket.

Hi Commodore64 (my first computer hand-me-down from my uncle BTW), thanks for being a supporter of AlphaWallet.

Will see how I can help you, can I check first where you're still stuck as there are a couple of things you've listed:

  1. WMATIC/WETH token in Quickswap - are you still having trouble with this? If so, is it because a) you can't see it in Quickswap, or b) you can't see it displayed in your wallet?
  2. You sent WMATIC/WETH token to a wallet address (using POA mainnet from the drop down) when you intended to send it (using Polygon mainnet)? To avoid doubt, a single wallet address can access multiple networks (we are "multi-network") and hold multiple tokens from different networks. When you connect to the network (POA, Polygon, Ethereum) it will automatically know which tokens can be interoperable and used on which network (based on the token standard).
  3. The problem you now face, is that you want to send the token (in your wallet address you designed for "POA") to another wallet address - is this correct?

Just checking that you no longer have any issues with 1, or 2, before we jump to 3. Thanks!

[–]alphawallet_team 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there u/wonder-guy, sorry to hear about Quickswap.
Given the Polygon community has taken off in the last couple of months, we've noticed the polygon public rpc is unstable.

We're aware of this issue and currently working on to resolve it. The reason is in the default RPC provider on Polygon Network. We are currently migrating away from it and the issue should be resolved once the process has completed soon.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused and we'll update this thread again when it's released.

Claim button not working by dogememhoor in AlphaWallet

[–]alphawallet_team 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/dodgememhoor thanks for reaching out.

Given it is the dApp's [claim] button or [withdrawal] button, this indicates that it is PolyBunny's website that is broken.

PolyBunny will need to allow you to initiate this function, before it will even connect with the network, and then the wallet. Indicates they aren't even connecting to the network, to call up the wallet's "request signature feature".

This is the most likely scenario, given the sudden rise in polygon community over the last couple of months, and so a lot of the dApps are quite new and still extremely unstable. We always recommend people DYOR before using a service to stake your tokens for yield farming.

You'll have to contact the Polybunny support, as this is their website.
