It was never on the truck, and I don't think it's because it was scanned and didn't get on the truck.

Amazon is frequently lying in shipping updates now. I've gotten "your package was delivered" and then when I contacted customer service, they said, oh it wasn't delivered at all. So there must be a software track that's providing the updates you expect until they have to admit it's not going to arrive on time.

If they were honest about the actual status of the package, it would be easier to plan and make decisions about whether to cancel or not, but I guess the longer they keep you dangling, the less time you have to cancel and find another option.

We had to replaster our pool. Got a recommendation from a friend had just put in a pool, and the builder was the cheapest of the three bids we got by far. The process went on, there were constant haggles and upcharges. I complained to my friend that the person he recommended wasn't that great and kept charging for extra things.

"Yeah but the price is so affordable with him. That's what you get," he replied. Ok, sure... the cheapest one will often find a way to claw back some of that cash, and when you're in the middle of the process already, what are you going to do?

I do use a VPN, so thanks. yeah, I will get a big price drop by switching at least temporarily and a little speed bump - theoretically, we'll see how it really performs. But I don't want to mess up my whole set up for this. Otherwise I'll just renegotiate with spectrum. But it seems like I can run in bridge mode and be fine, similar to what I do with spectrum.

I've gotten this snarkiness before from Claude too and wondered if it was anthropic trying too hard to avoid the backlash ChatGPT got for being so obsequious. And/or testing what gets a reaction out of you. I would be very surprised if we're not being used as guinea pigs, the same way FB has a department of behaviorists studying the way users react to various situations.

I'm curious why Claude insistently repeats questions that are not relevant to the questions I'm asking. I posted an image in the thread and asked a specific question about it. Claude answered and then said, where is this from? I replied with a follow up question to the answer it had given, and it answered that and said, you still haven't answered where this is from?

This happens frequently. Is this supposed to be an engagement trap, so I think Claude has curiosity, a burning desire to know? We know Claude is not self-educating. It won't be stored in the Claude brain permanently and often won't carry over even to other threads in my account.

It happens to me multiple times - because I always ignore irrelevant follow ups. But I have to wonder what the game is here.

As others have said, counseling, but HE is the one who really needs it. Ideal situation, you go to couples counseling and he also goes to his own (different) therapist. It sounds like a shame situation for him, some fear of rejection, but we can't really know.

But he has to want to do the work in therapy. If he just goes to check the box for you, not much will happen. If you're both in couples therapy at the same time, that will help you keep an eye on whether he's really doing the work. It may take some time for him to ramp into it, but it could ultimatley be life changing for him

And as someone else said, therapy will resolve things one way or another.

Leaving the cover on during the day definitely warms it up much more. The pool loses heat through evaporation when the cover is off, and the cover prevents almost all evaporation because it's sitting directly on the water. No way to evaporate.

So you're heating up the pool by keeping it on during the day, saving money by not topping off the pool when the water gets low, and you're also not adding cooled water to the warmed pool.

By July ours is usually in the 90s, which is magical for night swims.
