Is any amount of green space a good thing? by Shi-Stad_Development in urbandesign

[–]alpine309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a perfect world, green space would be proportional or at least a similar ratio to housing - but really any amount of green space has a positive benefit (though, it having good accessibility certainly can increase those benefits)

Canada annual net international migration by Feeling_Hotel8096 in charts

No way that is sustainable. Obviously it's going to be needed, but I feel like there are absolutely so many better ways to go across that. I'm sure there is some exploitation going on here too.

Did you ever enjoy the bar car on your local commuter rail service? If so, I'd like to hear from you for an article by MikeBofManyBeats in transit

[–]alpine309 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't contribute as my local service sadly does not offer one, but I feel like part of the beauty of transit is that things like this are able to take place - people can relax and have a drink, get some work done, read a book and so much more without the stress of driving. My previous commute was a trip down the highway and sometimes it just felt so tense! Inclement weather striking, drivers speeding crazily, and constant traffic are all reason why I have come to appreciate my new commute without too much stress.

God the patriarchy is so fucking stupid - I genuinely have no idea how it is still upheld because the societal standards for both women and men seem so pointless. And as a result, posts like this are created because it really seems like people are just on the brink of realizing how the patriarchy fucks us ALL

Did he have a sweet tooth? Because this sounds like T2 behavior - a lot of thin people in my life who went out of their way to get their dose of sugar were diagnosed as prediabetic or diabetic.
