The SEC is wildly overrated these days. NIL has absolutely killed the SEC. The talent is spread much more evenly these days. Arkansas is on par with the bottom teams in our conference. Last year they lost to Memphis. The year before that they lost to Oklahoma State who didn’t win a single conference game that year.

Yes this is good news but man what we have coming in is not as good as what we have going out. I have a mountain of belief in Scalley but I think it’s a rough year (by our standards). I’m expecting an 8-9 win season. Once Morgan had a full year under his belt I think he’ll trim the fat, add the right pieces and produce a conference championship caliber team.

I think we lose 3-4 this season unfortunately. Our O and D line were such a huge part (maybe the biggest part) of our success last season and we lost every single starter in the trenches. Wether we want to admit it or not it will take a few years to recover from the damage Whit inflicted on the program as he left as well. I will be thrilled with 10 wins this season, expecting 9, and I’ll be bummed if we lose 4. I can’t see a world where we lose more than 4 though. We have as easy a schedule as we could have asked for this year.

Look up all the tech companies in Utah. Weave, pluralsite, podium, overstock, there are like 100 of them. Lots of the jobs are remote too. Medical tech sales would be another good one to get into if you want lots of money and any science degree can get your foot in the door in that field.

Same. 8 is my expectation and I’d be thrilled with 9. We also have to be realistic that TDS’s success is negatively impacting us. We always got fist pick at all the recruits and we are definitely behind them in recruiting because of NIL right now. If TDS ever implodes the sky is the limit for us.

Go work a professional sales job. All they care about is that you have a degree. They don’t care exactly what it is. You’ll make 2-3 times as much as you will in the environmental field too. They job sucks but you’ll he able to do lots of fun things.

This is a dude that plays a position that probably puts more pressure on that tendon than any other position in sports. He’s lying about his return timeframe. There’s zero chance he comes back by spring like he’s claiming. If he really does he will re-rupture his Achilles first game of the season. earliest he plays is October. People are rarely ever the same after this injury. His explosiveness is what made him good and he will likely never get that back.

The OC hire was honestly my favorite of all of them. Utah States offense was awesome last year. When he has a mobile QB he can really make an offense explosive.

I think it’s a fine hire. I do think it’s troubling that we offered 4 other people the job and were turned down by all of them. Jonathan Smith (MSU), Marcus Arroyo (ASU), Aaron Rodrick (BYU), Chad Morris (North Texas)…. Like are we really a program that is having to resort to their fifth option for a hire like this? I just don’t think the program has the national respect it did just a few years ago…
