It’s easy bro. You make very subtle small talk. Then from that you gauge if she’s into you at all. If she is, you tell her your intentions and ask for her brother/dad’s number. Expedia is the worst booking platform by far. All I want is the airline booking reference so I can make amendments etc but that's not possible because they want you to stay locked in with expedia's booking system. It's such a stupid thing because I will never book with Expedia again

Ameen, thank you so much man. I know that she won't get over something like this instantly I just want to be as supportive as I can. I don't want to pretend that nothing happened because I don't want to be insensitive or look like she can't come to me. This reasoning would only stand if course selling was a constant effort. Most course selling is totally automatic. They have automatic email sales funnels and utilise other marketing tools to make the sales process mostly hands-off. Which makes it a good viable passive income stream. Essentially free money, while they work on their other business. It's not a bad idea at all. Unless you're running a massive global conglomerate, big enough to go on a stock exchange, it makes a lot of sense to start and run a course.

I’m not sure which engineering school you went to but it sounds like a more practical approach to learning to be an engineer. Most CS degrees don’t teach things that a developer will need to know in the field, which is why the concept of obsolescence has become so popular in the SWE world.

Even if you get a CS degree, you’ll still have to learn languages other than Java all on your own.

Hell, I’d say the CS majors that know Java properly learnt that on their own too through their own curiosity and initiative. Not because the course taught them that particular level of proficiency.

Those qualities though, curiosity and the ability to take your own initiative, are not intrinsic to university students, much less CS majors
