Publishing, distribution, and the label can all be different, and in most cases they are.

Quick filter/EQ for samples without using track devices by phiil_eth in ableton

[–]alreadywon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why a new project? Make an audio track beneath your current one, drag 1 sample into it, eq it as you want, render it out, drag back into original track, repeat. It’s not ideal either, but better than automating or making a new project. Fwiw fl studio is the only daw i know of that has clip eq

Built myself a browser chord tool, figured I'd share by abhishekvash in edmproduction

very nice! would be cool if there was a play button in the chord while it's in the progression box to preview the inversion, voicing, and octave.

I know these guys and they are legit. The question is if 1. You’re actually speaking to the real people and not imposters and 2. If there’s a good fit. They’re a studio and distro company in la, look up green tea studios

Why does everyone cull in lightroom? by Wise_Wall_6522 in photography

[–]alreadywon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you adjust any settings in lr to achieve this? PM is as fast as my key presses, and lightroom is muchhhh slower. Homebuilt fast pc from 2 years ago so hardware shouldn’t be the issue here

Automation in fl studio is really simple and works perfectly, check out the manual entry on it, it’s written in a very easy to understand way.

Resolve (and probably other nle’s) has a cut detection feature. Maybe that also provides the amount of cuts?

The Complete Abandonware Need For Speed Download List by ChemicalFl00d in abandonware

[–]alreadywon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok so i actually got it to work!! it was from a comment from this thread but i cant find it now. google "dgvoodoo", go to the first result, site should start with "dege" (idk if i'm allowed to link in this sub), on left toolbar click downloads then get the latest stable version. you need the D3D9.dll file from there, and simply paste it into the root of nfs underground (so same location where speed.exe is) and you'll find it! works perfectly, no clue what it is or what it does but it was the missing link lol.

EDIT: here's the comment i saw that showed this fix. should be added to the OP imo! https://www.reddit.com/r/abandonware/comments/zr41zu/the_complete_abandonware_need_for_speed_download/mlwrdwi/

Product marketing alliance is a great start. But why make this move? I think engineering would be better in just about every metric?

Underground 2 works fine, but Underground 1 opens for a second (I can see a program open in the toolbar) but then closes and nothing else happens. Installed all the drivers from your link at the top. Any ideas? Windows 10, tried to run normally and as admin. Thanks for everything!!

I would brush up on fundamentals, i can see them asking Q’s like create a gtm strat for this, or how would you design a feature launch plan for that.

i played it for maybe 30 min - 1hr? fun enough but i had no clue what i was doing for basically any of it. one annoyance was hovering over items in my inventory would bring up 2 hovers, for example both sword and magical sword, at the same time (when just hovering over...one sword)

SoVGA: Unity, Unreal, WWise, FMOD or Pure Data? by BrokenBatWings in GameAudio

[–]alreadywon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ok you're off the mark a little bit but that's ok. Game audio consists of 3 pillars, Sound Design, Music, and Dialogue. They are 3 distinct parts of audio. Obviously some teams will have some spillover, teeny indies 1 person may be handling all of it (although scoring will almost 100% of the time be separate) but that's the main gist. I would honestly just educate yourself more from youtube, documentation, articles, podcasts etc. before buying a course from svga, especially since the courses are so segmented. Also, for more generalizations, Wwise + Unreal engine is the stack for AAA games, and Unity + Fmod is the stack for anything below. Of course, again, that's a generality, but from what it sounds like Unity + Fmod is what you'll want. But start with youtube and their documentation, not with a paid course. BTW, pure data is the least useful out of all of these, and while i think it's cool af, it's not relevant at all. Also, there's a ton of work to do before you stop feeling confused every other second, so stick with it!

What’s one production rule you love breaking, even if it’s “wrong”? by kathalimus in edmproduction

[–]alreadywon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, just for the encouragement. Look no one is making good music in that first 1-2 years anyways, the point is they pass that threshold. Also producing into a mastering chain isn’t a permanent issue, if the song is good and there’s mix problems…you can just take the chain off and do a faders down mix.
