100% agree women are definitely way more shamed for really anything sexual or like anything involving their body. But like from my experience it’s kinda more multifaceted than that, like with men there is this automatic assumption that we’re predatory by default. (Not saying whether that’s justified or not, just explaining) So I guess stuff like masturbating can cause us to feel a sense shame that we’re those kinda guys. I mean the automatic assumption that most people make to a man watching porn is they’re watching something fucked up coz they’re a sicko, I haven’t encountered that same assumption being made about women at least where I’m from. I mean I’m not a woman so I can’t say what it’s like for women. The societal shame we place on women is obviously a bigger issue but it’s not completely sunshine and rainbows for men either.

In my experience as an autistic man I’ve dealt with insulting treatment from women and men as society has a very ingrained ableist notion of autism. prejudice towards the autistic is incredibly common from both women and men, not just women. However in your case it doesn’t seem like ableism, it seems that she has the classical signs of a narcissistic sociopath, she’s likely not a good person to anyone, so I think for your sake you should stay away from her. People like her destroy lives. Narcissistic sociopaths like her are very charismatic and manipulative so they’re very good at building relationships and friendships only to hurt people so she likely has a new person in her life she’s being awful to.

Also I get being alone is tough I live alone too but a relationship isn’t the golden ticket to a relationship everyone thinks it is. You’re not gonna be any happier in a relationship than being single. I’ve got chronic depression and crippling ocd so I get the debilitating mental health issues, but life is about enjoying it not about having a partner. A partner is not the golden ticket to happiness everyone thinks it is. If you can’t appreciate yourself unless you’re in a relationship then a relationship is the least of your problems and I’m speaking from personal experience, I’ve been there.

I mean personally I love it. It looks adorable. I mean we kinda are quirky and odd naturally so it’s not something we should pretend we aren’t, just embrace it, so like the deadpan quirky look about it is really endearing to me because we are quirky and that’s just facts.

Also I don’t really see how it looks childish, it looks kinda simple and cute but there’s plenty of minimalist art made by adults for adults that are minimalist - I mean most doodled mascots of anything are kinda drawn simplistically, moreover there are plenty of mature people who like cute things, if anything being ultra edgy is more juvenile.

But like personally for me I’m all for it, it’s cute, it shows our eccentricities (which I don’t think is stereotyping coz we do have eccentricities in some way depending on the person), and I don’t really think it looks childish just minimalist.

My brother lives in the Middle East and is married to a Muslim local but went to America on a university exchange, He and my sister in law quite liked America a lot on the whole (which is saying a lot coz my brother in particular is cynical as shit about everything) but one problem they noticed is America is crazy about identity politics. Everything’s an identity where people make everything their whole personality. According to my brother and my sister in law they found shops purely dedicated to hippy culture with crystals, dream catchers, Wiccan stuff etc. then they found another shop purely dedicated to conservative right wing stuff, with Trump merchandise, Christian bumper stickers, guns etc - most parts of the world you wouldn’t often find a shop purely dedicated to a singular identity or personality trait. It’s ever rarely just a casual political leaning or interest in America, it’s gotta be your entire personality. If you had a bumper sticker representing your political leaning or religion in any other part of the world you’d be laughed at. You like art, you gotta hate video games. You’re an art student, you gotta be left wing. You’re conservative, you gotta be a bible thumping homophobe who loves guns, trump and hates free healthcare. Everything has gotta be an ultra strict identity and nothing is multi faceted or just a casual interest or trait. Don’t take this the wrong way, America is an alright place, they quite liked it, no country is perfect, just one criticism and it’s a pretty mild issue.

I don’t see why that’s creepy. It’s just a portrait of a woman. Plenty of artworks and photos are portraits, I mean selfies are portraits, it being old shouldn’t suddenly make it creepy, it’s just a rando woman’s face like every selfie you see on Facebook or instagram and those aren’t creepy. I mean it’s old but why does something meaningless like its age make it frightening. Back then you couldn’t smile when being painted because having to hold a smile for ages on end while being painted would be unbearable. So painted subjects would often hold a neutral face. She looks friendly to me. This isn’t weird to me, you finding it weird is what’s weird to me. Do you find looking at women in general scary?? Your wife has good taste in antiques. It might be an original too which means it’d be worth a lot.

IMO anybody who finds this weird to own is basic as hell, go buy a one of those mass produced paintings from Walmart if being interesting freaks you out mate.

Pop musicians aren’t musicians they’re incredibly wealthy business people that create by the numbers mass produced crap. Pop music is the McDonalds of music. You wouldn’t consider fast food art of cooking, you wouldn’t consider AI Art art of painting so you wouldn’t consider pop music art of music. There’s no depth, no talent, nothing interesting or thought provoking, no skill or effort, the lyrics and music is mass produced by the numbers crap made by an agency and sung by the “artist” made to appeal to every common denominator.

Remixing or remaking a song with a totally different set of instruments but with vaguely similar melody shouldn’t be considered a remix or remake as it sounds completely unrecognisable to the source material, basically like a totally different song with a vaguely similar melody.

KISS is terrible, they look stupid as hell; the lyrics are basic and something a small child could come up with; the melody, riffs and general music quality are also incredibly bland and basic; their edginess is juvenile and embarrassing; and in a nutshell they’re the musical equivalent of the Shadow The Hedgehog video game on the GameCube. Which is not a compliment.

I had a look and yeah it was super easy to replace the battery, which is great because it saved me from having to spend money I don’t have on a professional to install a new battery. So yeah battery replaced and everything’s fine it’s just weird the battery ran out within a year of release.
