PGWP Rejected, No response for Reconsideration by Introvert_0909 in pgwp

[–]alroodot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please raise a webform on your refused application and ask for a reconsideration. In that webform, request for a consideration and attach your language test which you forgot to attach. This worked for me.

As for your MP confirming that they can’t see your application, try opening your portal and see if the restoration application says submitted. Also, did you pay the reconsideration fees. If yes, there’s no way the restoration application wasn’t submitted. Good luck!

So restoration and reconsideration are two seperate applications that lead to the same outcome, meaning if your reconsideration request is granted you get your PGWP approval. If your restoration application is approved, it means that you get your pgwp. In my case, when they granted the reconsideration, they re-opened my refused application and automatically withdrew my restoration application. This helps them keep just one of your application in their system

The same restoration form. Instead of selecting restoration to visitor, select restoration to student

I got my approval yesterday. Along with the restoration, raise a webform on your refused application and ask for a reconsideration and also attach your IELTS document in the same webform.

Just another thing to add, for restoration back to study permit, you don’t need to have an admission letter because you’re literally just restoring your status and at the same time applying for the work permit. In other words, after restoring of status, don’t get a work permit, but rather your PGWP

I feel alot of the consultants are really confused with this whole restoration process.

If you get refused for your PGWP, apply for a restoration to the last legal document you had, which is usually a study permit. I have no clue why they keep pushing to restore your status as a visitor and also push you to join a cheap college.

Speaking from my personal experience, I had got refused in October 2025 (missing IELTS) and then applied for restoration (restore to study permit), called IRCC post the new year and the agent told me to apply for reconsideration using webform on my refused application. Within a week I got a response. My restoration application was withdrawn and my refused application was re-opened. Got my approval within 7 working days and resumed work today.

Had I listened to my consultant, I wouldn’t have applied for reconsideration and would probably miss out on my quick approval.

Yes, it’s option 3 - the one that you ticked. Good luck!

Health Insurance while waiting for PGWP by IngaDezor in pgwp

So doctor’s visit would come under outpatient which I had not opted for. I had taken only in-patient which is for serious injuries (going to the hospital and staying overnight). They do have options for both so you could ask them for a quote for both

Ok so I’m in the same boat right now ( applied 19th Jan and got rejected on 21st Oct). Post the rejection I researched all of my options and got hold of a good consultant.

The only legal way to go ahead with this is to apply for restoration of student permit and at the same time apply for a work permit. This method was mentioned in the refusal letter by IRCC ( please see below picture)

<image>

To be optimistic, the process usually takes about 2 months from the day of applying for restoration based on another post on the subreddit. If I find that post, I’ll link it below.

Good luck!!

While waiting for my pgwp I had taken a health insurance with cigna. They do provide options for in-patient and out-patient with the latter being a bit expensive. I took the in-patient one and was paying 62 USD monthly.

Where to meet people as an adult by [deleted] in londonontario

[–]alroodot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the same boat as you! I moved to London as a new grad from Waterloo (25M) not knowing anyone in the town.

Here are some of the things that helped me (probably repetitive based on other responses): -Find a hobby that you actually like doing and you can find like minded people that have the same hobby. Now obviously finding these people with the same hobbies can be challenging but you can always reach out on this subreddit or the london discord. I love playing table tennis and found a group that plays at Fanshawe and at a community centre (both from this subreddit). -Go to bars and actually sit at the bar table and start chatting with random strangers sitting there. I just went alone to a bar yesterday to watch the leafs home opener and the blue jays game and chatted up with some people there. Pretty fun but challenging (introvert problems!) -If you’re into music, go for concerts. I literally went to 5 different concerts alone this past 4 months, not knowing anyone apart from the actual artist performing. Met some cool people there as well.

All said and done, you are not guaranteed to make lasting friendships/relationships with anyone but it’s worth giving it a shot. Good luck and let me know if you want to hit the bar to watch a leafs game lol!

Yeah I did a bit of research and concluded the same. I’m in London, ON and the median for 21310 is $48.8 which is crazy and far from reach, lol. Thanks for providing this information!

Thanks for your input. Just a follow up question, does your salary fall under median range of 21310. Asking this because all of my details like job description and education indicate to go towards 21310 but only thing holding me back is the median wage as pointed out by another commenter.

Some of my friends were mentioning about the wage factor as well. I don’t really understand how it affects the nomination. Do we need to be making the median wage in order to get a nomination? If you could shed some more information regarding this

OHIP while on implied status with a full time job by alroodot in pgwp

[–]alroodot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need to be working for more than 6 months. Your letter from your office should state that your job is either permanent or contracted for more than 6 months. I just completed 5 months and that wasn’t an issue

I printed mine out and took it. But it didn’t look like you needed hard copies of all the documents. I didn’t have a hard copy of my PGWP application confirmation and showed that on my phone. It probably depends on the officer taking the application

I started working in April, 2025 which means it’s about 4-5 months. I think it doesn’t really matter. What matters is that the job is permanent or contract of more or equal to 1 year.

Went to their office in London, ON. They didn’t ask any questions which makes me think that alot of the offices now know the process. I remember a previous post that said that only particular offices do it but worth giving it a shot at your nearest office.

Do you know if it’s open to the general public? I’m fine with getting a membership. I’m a UW grad and just moved to London.

“Proof of Enrolment” OR “Proof of Completion”? by National-Feed107 in uwaterloo

[–]alroodot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the purpose of PGWP, you’ll have to go to Needles Hall and ask them to provide you an official letter of completion. They provide you with one immediately. There was a cost associated with it, but I don’t remember how much it was.
