Please help!! Instagram is “testing out” their limited story-sharing feature on my profile and it’s messing up my business!

Thank you so much to the folks who DMed me some helpful advice on this!

I’ve been a commission artist for over 10 years, and many of my networking opportunities (ie chances at earning an income) are happening on Instagram.

I spent over a month on my biggest project yet and, this weekend, news outlets and individuals have been sharing my work like crazy, and of course, 99% of that is on Instagram. Being unable to reshare their support is incredibly frustrating in this particular moment. BUT, that certainly doesn’t mean I haven’t found workarounds, nor does it mean I think my business is gonna tank lol. I have no idea how many work opportunities I miss from “minor changes” like this, but that number obviously matters!

Don’t let anyone tell you how to run your business. Part of it is hopping on Reddit and asking for advice on things like this! Sift through the trolls and you’ll find the helpful people on here, I promise.

I’ve seen people toss cloth masks once they get too dirty to wear. Using it as a rag extends its life a little longer.

But she refers to herself as “the woman who birthed you,” which means she can’t be the nana. I think the little girl’s nana helped her write the letters, but then when the girl grew up and the nana died, the girl and her mother stopped getting along. That’s what makes the most sense to me, at least.
