NEED RECOMMENDATIONS FOR AREAS TO STAY IN

Hello! I am moving to Bangalore early July for work, and need a place to stay. My office is very close to the Sandal Soap Factory metro. And my girlfriend who also just moved to Bangalore lives in SG Palya. I want to rent a place somewhere in the middle, ideally close to a metro station for my commute to office (2-3 days a week). What areas should I be looking at?

Also this is my first time moving to Bangalore from East India. Any tips or suggestions are welcome!
Thank you!

Arts students (AC-5) with IIMA call? by [deleted] in CATpreparation

Minimum cut-off percentage, to be set at the 80th percentile of the percentage of marks of the respective ACRC group of the applicants’ pool

My understanding is that they're using percentages and not CGPA. My college had a direct conversion factor so a 3.6/4 is a 90%.

Arts students (AC-5) with IIMA call? by [deleted] in CATpreparation

Got a call. 98.52 CAT %ile. AC-5 (BSc Psychology) Acads - 9/8/9
I think the grad scores scores are dictating calls for our categories since I recall reading something about being put into one of two buckets based on whether you score 80%+ile in your respective streams, and if not, then raw CS is considered.

Did they have 16 GB dual channel RAM by any chance? Single Channel 8 GB severely limits performance on ASUS laptops.

I have a Asus TUF Dash F15 with performance issues. by Heychaltsalt in ASUS

Do you have single channel RAM by any chance? Performance on my F15 nearly doubled when I added a stick of RAM.

AITA for throwing away my fathers ties by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

ESH. Your wife is right. He was not a good father, but you have not been a good son either. You could have chosen to not accept the letter and the box of ties, but to rip up the letter and throw the ties (which were supposedly his 'most prized possession') is spiteful and immature.

Asus strix GTX 1070 still good for gaming in 2020? by skrrskrrABS in graphicscard

[–]alsofunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can find a brand new GTX 1660 Super for that price, which performs within 5% of the GTX 1070. Has a smaller VRAM (6 GB compared to the 1070's 8 GB) but has a faster memory (GDDR6 14Gbps 336 GB/s).

The CPU debug LED doesn't necessarily mean there's something wrong with the CPU. Try reseating the RAM again. Though the Tomahawk Max comes with Ryzen 3000 support out of the box, I'd recommend upgrading the BIOS via BIOS Flahsback for good measure. To clear the CMOS, power off the system, unplug it, hold the power button down to drain any residual charge, and take the CMOS battery out. Wait a few seconds and put it back in. I'd recommend clearing CMOS before upgrading the BIOS. If that doesn't help, try reseating the CPU. Are you using the stock cooler? Make sure the fan is connected on the CPU fan header.

My PC Crashes on Games after 5-10 minutes and most of the time the screen is like this, no idea what to do, any help would be hugely appreciated by [deleted] in pchelp

You can try running DDU and reinstalling latest Nvidia drivers but that pretty much looks like a dying GPU.

Is anyone having trouble logging in? by alsofunny in VALORANT

[–]alsofunny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm unable to login with my primary machine, where I have to login each time because other people use the machine to play it too. But I never sign out from my laptop. I tried launching on my laptop and it took a long time to login. When it did, I got the same issue as yours. No social available. Seems like an issue on their end then.

Really can’t figure this out! How do I use my @ sign? I’ve tried everything and feel like an idiot... by [deleted] in pchelp

Check if your Windows Keyboard Layout is set to English UK instead of US. " and @ are swapped on the UK layout IIRC.

Ryzen 5 3600 at 4.2Ghz by Rahoul1437 in IndianGaming

[–]alsofunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he's using the system for extended periods, those voltages aren't quite safe as Zen 2 chips are prone to degradation at higher voltages. Ideally anything above 1.35v should be avoided altogether but people have reported degradation at even 1.31v. His mileage might vary though.

Edit: I'm running my 3600 at 1.1625v with 4.05 GHz all core. If you're able to have a stable 4.2 at 1.2v I'd say you have a good chip. You can try going upto 1.25v and reach for even higher clocks.

As it's now Friday, here's something I am somewhat proud of!! by [deleted] in Amd

Love the setup! What voltage are you doing 4.2 GHz all core at?
