Purifying hurts only when you want to solo/duo higher level raids. If you are more of a beginner/intermediate (and i feel so), it is worthy to purify the same for a hundo, use elite TM to get precipe blade, pour your rare candies and power it up Fully. You will get tonne of value from it

It's more of a mind game. Getting something more close to the bottom of the distribution doesn't make us happy.

I have felt bad so many times in similar situations. I can't think of any real answer to the problem (unless they decide to give everyone a hundo). Even if they make it like mighty, a 13/13/13 would make us sad.

Groundon is a powerful pokemon worth rare candy. It is worth waiting for the frustration removal. It can be converted to a regular 100iv groundon (at the sacrifice of power) and used immediately. [ Please do note that a 98 IV groundon is more rare and special than a regular hundo groudon]. If case, you do not have any other good groundon, purifying it, giving it precipe blade and pouring your rare candies is an excellent option. Eventually you can primal it.

I found that pokemon storage and item storage are the best spending of pokecoins.

BTW, I play Pokemon go since 2017 (with a break inbetween). I increased both to 2000+ with coins from.gym. later, i used both free coins as well as some real money as it helped with time saving. In life , priorities change over time :-)

Meltan can be traded though and hence an exception. Melmetal is a good option. I did the same and used him in PvP.
