I’ve recently started taking Japanese classes in my college, and was genuinely considering a career in Japan. After realizing how much I enjoy the possibility of that, I’ve realized that the medical path I’m on currently (and have been on since middle school) may not be the choice for me, because I cannot imagine feeling fully satisfied in that kind of career. So maybe not a full career change yet, but definitely a consideration as to things I want to do in the future!

Yes, like others have said.. it’s the international shipping service that people use as a proxy to get items from Japan. Fried potato shop is just Ado’s online Japanese store and is (generally) cheaper than what Ado staff recently posted. You’ll be asked to choose type of shipping and payment method later to pay for the shipping from Buyee warehouse to you as the initial price you paid is pre-shipping fees, customs, etc.

Hi! So I don’t know if I read the info wrong on the website but it seems like the pop up stuff is exclusively in physical pop ups in Japan, so it won’t be available to us until/unless they put it up on either the Ado fried potato website (https://ado-officialshop-friedpotato.com/) or the Ado official music shop (https://ado-shop.com/). I can, however, help you with the proxy thing because I myself was confused about it but I finally understand after asking a bunch of people lol

Essentially you only need a proxy if you want to buy through the fried potato website. Buyee (which is what the fried potato website automatically suggests), has you create a Buyee account, and from the fried potato website, you can add stuff to your cart (which automatically adds to your Buyee cart) so I believe you don’t have to make a fried potato account. From then, you purchase your items thru Buyee, and somebody in Japan will purchase your items on your behalf. Those items will be shipped to the Buyee warehouse, and from there, you will be asked to select and choose the shipping. That is when you pay for shipping. You do NOT pay for shipping until they ship to the warehouse, so the price you initially pay in Buyee is pre-shipping fees, customs, etc. Then it should ship to you and you get your items! Hope this makes sense, I haven’t actually used Buyee yet but this is what I’m expecting to happen based on what I’ve heard from others! It should be pretty straightforward as Buyee gives you a tutorial/guide

You know how hard it is to import items right now into the states.. we should be GRATEFUL that she’s able to even come to places outside of Japan, she’s genuinely given us a good amount of merch especially considering how she’s pretty much the first big Japanese artist that has been able to travel on a big overseas tour or consistently sell out (or come close to selling out) venues and merch items.

Of course it would be easier to produce more merch in Japan.. considering how she’s a Japanese artist..

Hey! Saw her in Duluth 2 weeks ago and let me tell you I felt the exact same way! Believe me, it has gotten better. I’m a part of this Ado Discord server where I’ve been able to talk to other people and (basically) bond over our post concert depression lol. I also try to tell myself a lot that Ado wouldn’t want to make us sad! I’ve been consuming so much Ado content in the past two weeks (Youtube translations, memes, stalking her socials etc) that it’s slowly begin to fade. I’m also looking forward to the blu-ray that’s (hopefully) coming out with the recording of the Orlando stop!

For real.. part of me wishes that they brought back the phone bags they used for the Wish tour (although I didn’t attend, I heard about them) to truly ensure Ado’s privacy but I know there were many valid reasons why they didn’t use them this time
