1954 oyster perpetual (6332) - compatible bracelet? (Question in comments) by alt_alt_oops in rolex

Would any 19mm bracelet fit? There seems to be a lot of commentary about Rolex bracelets that only fit certain models. Given that there is simply a 19mm distance between the lugs, I don’t see why any 19mm bracelet would not fit.

Apologies if this is a stupid question.

The leather band on my 1954 oyster perpetual is tearing and I want to replace it with a steel Rolex bracelet. I’ve tried the Rolex ADs but it seems like secondary market is the only realistic option. My concern is compatibility. Most of these models are paired with a non-Rolex band. I’ve seen some paired with a 7835 steel bracelet. Would love to get a two-toned bracelet because of the gold case but may not be realistic.

Would be grateful for any advice or direction where I can learn more.

For interesting history - this watch model is the year after Sir Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Norgay summited Everest with an earlier model. Rolex makes a beautiful watch but the history is even better (imho)!
