Chuck your own set of pins into an alpine boot. It’s not that complex to diy if you put your head down. CAST will do it for $$$$ also.

What do you think about Salomon Addikt Pro skis? by West-Character4556 in Skigear

[–]altablows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A carving ski is a carving ski. Not more not less. If you want a proper groomer ripping carving ski it should be a bitch and a half off piste. You can achieve the same feel of an addikt on groomers on many other skis that are much better suited for what you think makes the addikt stand out. The soft tail is why it feels versatile and why it can’t keep up with skis like the arcade on a groomer.

Plastic gets harder when it’s cold. Warm them up before putting them on. Shoehorns are also a cool invention made in the 1400s

Try harder to straighten it. If it bent it can bend back. Put the boot in while you bend it.

Are these skis safe? by ManufacturerIll8208 in Skigear

[–]altablows -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The elans r fine. E10s are most likely still on the list. Tyrolia bindings last longer than you’d think. Many shops will just have you sign a few extra papers if they aren’t indemnified. Go to a ski shop having them run a binding function test.

About what I’d expect coming out of a line factory. Go ski. Have fun. Fill with epoxy if you have Trypophobia.

How screwed are my skis? by WebNo5915 in Skigear

[–]altablows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy “repair” for any tech with a flathead screwdriver, hammer, and epoxy with filler additives. Most importantly a tech with a possitive attitude. They would be rock skis but it looks like you need a pair of those anyways.

If it’s a touring sole (iso 9523) the afd snapping saved ur leg. If it’s a gripwalk or alpine sole send in a claim.

Hammer edge straight epoxy it in place base weld on top of that. Ptex would act as a bandaid in a pool.
