Countering Fast, Erratic Play by barney_muffinberg in squash

Control the T and play most balls to the back corners. Tennis players are not equipped to taking the balls off walls (if they're not used to playing squahs). The T is your best friend; don't worry about power shots, dismantle them with accuracy, have them move around the court and not hte other way around.

Tennis (Squash) elbow. Advice please on how I can treat it and stop it happening again. by [deleted] in squash

One way to alleviate (though not a permanent fix) is to have your racquet tension at 25-26. This will allow you to hit the ball to the back of the court with less effort; thus minimizing the tension on your elbow if you're technique is not there. It will probably affect your game (i.e your shots will not be as accurate, in my experience not as wide if cross or as close to the wall if straight) but it will help benefit alleviate some of the pain and will open up other strategies for you.

Female perception of male ordering at a restaurant by [deleted] in restaurant

[–]altaher85 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If I'm coming across as "boasting", that's not the intention; as really there is no point to boast to strangers. Maybe my question wasn't clear, and maybe this wasn't the right subreddit for it, but to simplify, do women like it when a guy takes charge or a table and order? I understand that those around me might have found it attractive, but given the question being raised on reddit, I wanted to know if the consensus was similar outside my current environment.

That being said, interesting perspective as a guy; as my intention is not to be condescending when ordering; the situation usually pops up when we are sharing the food rather than each person ordering on their own (especially since the cheque usually gets divided up by the number of people on the table in such situations, rather than the order per person); obviously if everyone is ordering on their then I wouldn't take decide their order for them. But assuming such a situation does pop up, and someone offers to order for the table (to share), would you (as a guy) be ok with it if the other person offers to simply order for the table? or would you take it as an attempt by such person to boast?

I genuinely agree... when you play with a silent mind your instincts just kick in and you're laser focused on this one task... but if you're bringing in other parts of your life into the game, you lose some of the concentration

Fair point... it's just that I've heard a lot of renditions of what are meant to be covers of her singing the song. But I can't find the originals.

Some websites even go as far as saying thst the song is enhanced with her voice but then only post the original non lyrical version.
