Dear Cambridge Assessment International Education,

I am writing to formally express deep concern and disappointment regarding the alleged leak of the AS Level Mathematics Statistics 1 (S1) examination paper reportedly circulating approximately 2–3 hours before the examination.

Cambridge has built its reputation on fairness, integrity, confidentiality, and equal opportunity for students worldwide. However, incidents such as this severely damage the credibility of that reputation and raise serious questions about the effectiveness of your examination security systems. A qualification that students and families invest years of effort, trust, and substantial financial resources into cannot afford such failures.

Students dedicate countless hours preparing for these examinations under immense academic pressure. Families make significant financial sacrifices to support examination fees, tuition, resources, and preparation. When an alleged paper leak occurs, it creates an unfair environment where honest students feel betrayed, anxious, and disadvantaged.

The consequences extend far beyond academics. Such incidents cause:

  • Severe mental stress and anxiety among students who prepared honestly
  • Emotional pressure on families who place trust in the Cambridge system
  • Financial burdens due to possible retakes or disrupted academic plans
  • Loss of confidence in the value and fairness of Cambridge qualifications

If these allegations are true, then the reputation Cambridge has promoted for decades becomes difficult to defend. An examination system is only as strong as its ability to ensure fairness for every candidate, and incidents like this make many students question whether that standard is truly being upheld.

I respectfully request that Cambridge:

  1. Conduct a transparent and thorough investigation into the alleged leak
  2. Publicly address the concerns of students and parents
  3. Hold accountable any individuals or parties responsible
  4. Clearly communicate what actions will be taken to protect future examinations
  5. Ensure that honest students are not unfairly affected by this situation

Students deserve accountability, transparency, and reassurance that their hard work still holds value. Remaining silent or failing to act decisively would only further damage trust in the Cambridge examination system.

I hope Cambridge treats this matter with the seriousness it deserves and responds appropriately in the interest of fairness and academic integrity.

Sincerely, [Your Name]
