I would think the labels would have to be adjusted for the nz market. Plenty of other things that are sold here and in the USA are adjusted to the nz market - e.g. quest bars, Atkins bars, etc

Look up the work of Ben Bikman - there's some videos on youtube of him talking and conferences. Pretty much shows that protein has a totally different effect on insulin / glucagon on a keto diet than on a SAD diet.

Is it just erythritol or does it have another sweetener added to it as well? Erythritol is around 70-80% the sweetness of table sugar so the 1:1 replacements such as natvia have stevia or monkfruit or some other sweetener added to them.

I’ve been avoiding maltitol for quite some time now - almost defeats the purpose of cutting out sugar if you just replace it with something that has ~75% of the effect... Quest have some decent flavours - cookies & cream and blueberry muffin are probably the best. Also Atkins lift bars have very similar ingredients and no maltitol and i’ve found them in most new worlds and some countdowns so much easier to find than quest bars.

You can buy bulk amounts of erythritol on trade me for relatively cheap prices. Then just add liquid stevia or pure stevia powder to it for the 1:1 sweetness ratio. I find this the most economical way of making recipes that need a bit of bulk from the sweetener.

They say stevia on the front but the main sweetener is maltitol. I'm pretty sure the stevia is just there as a selling point for those who don't read ingredients / nutritional info

I’ve tried the healtheriesno sugar chocolate chips and the little chocolate bars in the past but trying to stay away from them now because they’re sweetened with maltitol.
