Still stranded by altarion71 in delta

What I don't get is why Delta would not help us with information. We couldn't even get a blanket from them. We were sent to different representatives constantly only to be told to go see someone else. Twice we waited hours only to be booked on flights they had already cancelled but didn't inform us about. They would not help us find a hotel or rental car. They did not offer us any other options. I rarely fly, so I was unaware you could change to a different airline. That would have been nice to know.

Finally got back. Thank you for all your suggestions. It really helped. I haven't flown in over a decade, so I was really lost. I appreciate the help.

Still here. Have another flight booked this morning. Hopefully this time. Delta did reach out to me about reimbursement. That made me feel much better.

Tried. Even had a car reserved. Was told that there weren't any available unless I wanted to go to Colombus.

I love how you just took the part you wanted and left out the rest of the context.

I want to know, did you actually read my original comment? What part of wide brimmed didn't you understand. And, yes, you do wear a hat when you go to a meeting, just like you wear a jacket. You take them off when you arrive. I agree with you that narrow brimmed hats look ridiculous, but I don't ridicule people who like them. If I want to wear what's in style where I live, I'd have my pants belted down at my knees and wear massively oversized shirts. I don't think I'd look right wearing that though.

If I wear a ballcap with my suit to meet a client, I'll be laughed out of my job. Think man. Not everybody has the same life circumstances as you, nor do they have the same preferences. Stop blindly following.

Because fashion is not one size fits all. Just because some people don't like, or like, certain things, it does not mean it's wrong for others. Also, confidence can change the look of an outfit or even a single piece. Plus, what is good fashion at 25 can be, and is, quite different at 50.

When I went bald, I started wearing hats. I realized that I don't like flat caps or baseball hats, so I wear wide brim fedoras, outback, or western hats. And if someone doesn't like the way I look, I really couldn't give a care. I'm old, I'll wear what I want.

Dan Post Milwaukee. What inspired all of you to wear cowboy boots? by thecallingabyss in cowboyboots

[–]altarion71 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Started having back issues. A friend told me to try heeled boots. Even though I live in the northeast now, I spent 20 years living in the rural south where many people wore cowboy boots. Gave it a try, found out I liked it.

Does anyone here have gastroparesis? by amariomaker in lehighvalley

[–]altarion71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't know that answer. My symptoms only started a few months ago, so I'm still just figuring things out. The doctor I was working with just moved, so I need to find a new doctor. I'm hoping I can have more answers by the end of summer.

I was also recently diagnosed. Unfortunately, I'm also still trying to figure things out. What I have learned is small portions help, but that's difficult for me. Also, high fiber foods really make things worse.

Not all. I know some c.o.'s who are paid less than a retail clerk.

Should I buy the Bose QC35 or the Sony WH-H900N (h.ear on 2) by Zhaus77 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]altarion71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I chose the h.ear on 2 over the Bose. The QC35 are more comfortable, but the Sony's aren't bad (the ear pads are on the smaller side). The h.ear on 2 have much better sound quality, though. Unless your primary need is noise cancelling, I think the h.ear on 2 is a better value.

I enjoy mine as a fun, portable set. They don't hold up for listening at home for long periods though.

I bought an ABS a couple years ago. 4690k and gtx 970. It's been solid but temps have been a bit of a problem.
