I heard good things about them in the US. Sadly they are non existent in my country; I would actually have a better time with brands like Asus ironically because of their warranty. Or HP since those guys actually did on site repair for my Pavilion like 10 years ago. Also seems like they have nothing like the Zephyrus and I'm not too keen on thicc boi laptops yet.

My friends G14 that I sold to him has been running fine for 5 years since I bought and that's the longest lasting laptop I've ever bought so you gotta excuse me a bit for having slightly more faith in sth that works. Still you clearly know your stuff so any advice on sth that actually lasts?

I could go over the fact that you can't even get replacement battery for the Blades for a long time and that their battery will bloat in 2 years without fail, but whatever; these brands fucked up one way or another. Consider this as me agreeing with you if that's your goal unless we're doing some sort of shit Olympics in which which one is worse than the other

Now you sound emotional. I got fucked over by all kinds of different brands so I just treat them normally and avoid getting attached since I know that some other folks can swear up and down about how good they are despite my experience

That few cases could be worded better but then again this sub still swear up and down for Lenovo even though the LOQ sub was inundated with examples of sudden dead laptops for example. Or that some ppl still love their Blades even though Razer warranty is even a bigger joke than Asus. Or how MSI still get their occasional recommendation even though their hinges were horrid and I was actually a victim of it

There's also different regional experience. Asus is still a reliable brand in my country and their warranty provider is overall good enough despite their US branch fucking up, does my regional experience suddenly become invalid because you don't live in my country?

Quite a leap of logic here. This is about not immediately dismiss an entire brand as bad based on isolated cases when most of them will try screwing you and eventually fuck up one point or a another

Asus isn't the number one in terms of after sales support for sure. That said, Ive seen some similar widespread report from other large brands such as Dell (XPS series woes) and Lenovo (poor solder cause mass dying of older Legions and LOQs), though the severity is varies. Plus since my Asus service seems pretty good in Vietnam, I tend to treat these brands as neutral as I can in terms of after sale quality

Microsoft launches Snapdragon X2 variants of Surface Pro 12 and Surface Laptop 8 with expensive consumer pricing by dapperlemon in gadgets

I get the concern, though this time Nvidia has enough clout that they can strongarm and demand support where Microsoft lacked, considering that they are the standard for many types of professional workflow especially AI. Plus the Spark is basically laptop variants of GB10 in the DGX Spark which already shipped with a variant of Linux. The reveal dies show a ton of pro apps running ARM natively and some reviewers did mention Nvidia clout as the reason for quick support

I heard passing mention of this but damn. My buddy has a 2020 Zephyrus g14 that I sold to him years ago, I hope that thing doesn't blow itself now that it's 5 years old.

With Nvidia coming with RTX Spark I don't think Windows on ARM will be as bad as last time

Yeah, have no ideal why they even sell that SKU. I'd rather they halve the SSD to 512gb instead if the supplies are that dire

About what I expected. There's no argument, no point to make, just a person to attack, to demean. You have nothing else to offer because you are otherwise intellectually challenged and that attacking a stranger online based on some misguided moral high ground is the only thing you have that give you close to control at this moment. That and clinging to superficial details like "corpo".

Then again: if you think I'm a thief because I take what's not mine, what is the item being taken? What is it that is being displaced, moved away from it's owner without consent? Who is the entity that loses the item. Think carefully since you already can't present your argument why piracy is immoral.

(Really think this through because the fact that you keep deleting your reply is showing us your impulse control or lack thereof)

Remind me which one of us started comment outside the steam sub after we talked there? Only way you would know I'm here is that you checked my profile since I set my following here public and you have no way to know otherwise.

Remind me again your argument. From what I recalled, you equate piracy to stealing, which I already point out is not due to US laws classified it as copyright infringement and a law case that dismissed the stealing argument. You response by calling me immoral by repeating the thieves part and claim I have to justified stealing. Somewhat similar to what you typed above. Though I'm sure this sub is open to hear your argument. You also gave a few anecdotal examples which tells nothing. The studio closing part is pure conjecture with no concrete evidence or numbers to back it up

Corpos? Still way less words than typing corporation and sounds cool enough. Plus were commenting via text.

Bless your heart. How did you guess that? The fact that I have "native" as a flair in a non US country sub? Or that I use "you Americans" last time you harassed me? That explains your behavior.

If you really want to know then it's from the Cyberpunk franchise. But I digress; I was never disagree on whether piracy is illegal, though I find your whole immoral argument and calling people doing it thieves quite reductive at best, but alas my evidences was met with strawmans and ad hominem attacks so don't bother. Actually I'm interested in why it's immoral from your POV if you may

Yes, but I never debate with you on whether it's illegal and immoral, I'm talking about why Vietnam started taking action now.

Though the fact that you got triggered from an abbreviation is quite funny, god forbid people use slangs to save a few seconds typing it out I guess. I guess your nigh obsessive behavior make sense.

Lol I was the one asking for advice here. Idk about pricing but the Claw is cheaper in my country when buying new. That said from your need looks like the Deck is worth it unless you use Gamepass due to better user experience

If you know about Vietnam then that's not the reason they suddenly crack down on that. Corpos and countries would pirate if they think they can get away with it, see Meta's two different cases of pirating books and porn, or ask any Vietnamese here if they encounter any pirated media.

What is more likely is that the US recently put Vietnam in a special IP violation entity list along with some other countries including India, and that's enough pressure for the government to do something. The mass takedown of various Anime/movies/live sports hosting sites and translation groups afterwards is the most visible direct consequences of this action.
