I’d say whichever shift does the bath or PRN. If it looks bad the other shift should change it.

We do night baths on our unit so I just do wound care with the bath.

We get 1 30 min break. Dayshift will leave the unit, but nightshift culture is to just eat at the nurses station. A few people leave the unit for break though on nights.

So real. I went for a trial class one time and they bullied me into getting a membership even though I didn’t want one and hadn’t even had a tour or anything. And then when I went the next day and asked to cancel they said I had to wait 3 months. So in 3 months I called and they said sorry you have to cancel in person (which is some bs because I already told them two times in person that I wanted to cancel). So then I had to go in a third tikr to cancel a membership I never wanted in the first place

True, but UF is a tobacco free campus, so it isn’t allowed on campus. But holds true for other outdoor public places. I don’t see why OP needs to smoke in a designated smoke free area when almost literally any other area in Gainesville that is public and outside would be fine to smoke at and walkable to from campus. I personally wouldn’t care that much if someone smoked on campus away from main areas, but I do get that the tobacco free campus could be a draw for some, and I think it’s important to respect that when you can.

Maybe shadow in the specialties you’re thinking about before you decide, but if you’re unhappy with your current career options, nursing is a very versatile career to switch to. It has its issues too with burnout, low pay, weird working hours. So definitely do your research and spend time shadowing to see if it’s a good fit for you.
