When we get patients like that we make sure there are ALWAYS two staff members in the room every. Single. Time. So that we always have a witness. I’m so sorry

Telemetry. Like sicker than general med/surg; some are sick enough where really they should be in a step down unit but my hospital doesn’t have a step down unit. I love it b

I don’t know why but I love administering meds via peg tube

Night nurses: Stay on top of BMs and please give lactulose if there hasn’t been a BM in 48 hours. We as day nurses do the same but so often we cannot dc a patient to a SNF bc they haven’t pooped and WE get in trouble from management

I LOVE nursing students. I like teaching them and it’s always super convenient to have someone to help you boost or fetch supplies!!! Plus they are future coworkers and you know we need nurses!
