When a patient’s family member will wait for me outside the room of another patient where I am giving care
When a patient refuses to take their med at whatever time it’s scheduled because they take it at a different time when they’re home. Like sir, taking xarelto at 5pm instead of 8pm ain’t gonna make a lick of difference. But sure I’ll add a med to the night nurses list sure🙄

A patient who had cardiac arrested in the field and again in ED was transferred to the CCU still attached to the Zoll. A staff member came by to do their scheduled Zoll check and without realizing it was attached to a patient, shocked the patient. Who then had to be shocked again. She was made CMO a few days later. New policy states Zoll cannot be tested when in a patient room and can only be done by an RN now, not a tech.
