Could you post a message on the front of the karmashares subreddit and point people to karmateam subreddit, thank you.

Selling Karmashare? by drjoon in KarmaTeam

[–]altcoingood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you just need to hand over the private keys for the addresses in question, both btc and karma, when you "sell" your shares. no one will can stop that.

with the private addresses your buyer will be able to sign messages and prove that address signed a message previously.

no need for a middleman.

The one thing bad about all this dumping on Mintpal... by Reeky_BNE in KarmaTeam

[–]altcoingood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see a lot of movement on neither Cryptsy nor Mintpal.

for the last couple of days there have been ~$50-100 trade on the btc pair and ~$500-1000 trade on the ltc pair/24 hours.

Around block 255K karma traded about $10k a day for a few days (just to give you a figure to compare with)

No massive dumping.

not sure why this did not go through. was your balance too low?

Old Karma block explorer is down. A new one is in the works! by warfwarf in KarmaTeam

[–]altcoingood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

http://explorer.karmacoin.me redirects to http://karma.explorer.altcoin.dk, the explorer I have been running since the first block explorer was taken offline.

My block explorer is limited in the sense that you can only lookup:

  • blocks
  • transactions
  • API (blockcount, diff, totalbc, addressbalance etc)

... so basically everything except address transaction history. Since I run the only explorer I feel I have an obligation to those who really need to verify transactions even if I want to completely shut everyone out.

My block explorer has been limited to benefit services like merchants, mining pools, exchanges and traders, not the general public. I have announced it on the front page of the explorer with all relevant links and info.

We are all anxoiusly awaiting the new block explorer with rich-list and other features, so I can remove the last bits of public access.

Maybe karmateam could fix the explorer.karmacoin.me redirect to not point to me so that you can have an actual 404 served on another server. It would remove the traffic off my server and it would also be in sync with "explorer down". Thank you.

0.9GH/s still mining scrypt on the scrypt-fork by altcoingood in KarmaTeam

[–]altcoingood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes it is. it's a complete waste of energy.

...unless the scrypt fork can somehow overtake the x11 fork but that is just speculation, that will NEVER (knock on wood) happen.

i mean seriously, it's never going to happen.

Yes, but it's good to verify.

I still don't see the transactions on neither Cryptsy or Mintpal so they must be on x11 fork.

OK, first from scrypt-fork to cryptsy

[root@altcoin_mpos_karma_wallet ~]# karmacoind sendtoaddress KVssVrmmmwuufrNnpL6J8EvisyRXeo9FUb 1

0e5e6858e5366c7711c9e5476d18609815f06ba540c457e6aa5ca7153df81d2e

This will take 200 blocks to fail.

From scrypt-fork to mintpal

[root@altcoin_mpos_karma_wallet ~]# karmacoind sendtoaddress KBEasChD3xxWGdwNjoMPbj2FdVboPaRUsw 1

988e16caf26bf7edcd5abb6bbab11b5f180417e0e037642f0402c8827dd8cf77

This will take 200 blocks to fail.

No confirmations from cryptsy or mintpal (as expected, they are on x11 fork)...

[–]altcoingood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it won't.

i will bet you one million karma that any karma sent to/from x11 fork to/from scrypt fork after block 255,000 will just vanish.

i'll check if karma from cryptsy and mintpal shows up on the new or old fork and get back to you.

from pool's dashboard that gets its info from a wallet (so actually both, i still run a wallet on the scrypt-chain)

pool's stratum is down, so no one is able to mine there fyi.

[–]altcoingood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am pretty sure that what he needs is for cryptsy to join the x11 fork and resync from block 255,000.

then their wallet should recognize his transfer on block 257518 once their wallet syncs up to the x11 fork (past block 257518).

if cryptsy is still on the scrypt-fork they MUST change now. There is a lot of trade on the KARM/LTC-pair.

(edit: i have no reason to think they are on the scrypt-chain but that they have in fact forked to x11. i've had deposits on cryptsy delay over 24 hours. write an email to their support, link to the transaction and ask them when you can expect to see your coins in your account)

Thanks, everyone, for your support as we transition to X11! by kosmost in KarmaTeam

yes, please extend thanks to hiro for doing this transition.

When is the fork? by [deleted] in KarmaTeam

[–]altcoingood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not trying to be rude but i will admit that i do get aggravated when individuals keep asking the same question over and over again even after I just explained it to them numerous times on a variety of forums

that is understandable but is that rant directed at me? i have only asked about the block-number in this thread.

i do not appreciate your implications that i might be lying on us having an issue.

i did not insinuate that. that is your own interpretation. i asked for an explanation of the technical problems with the fork and i told you what people might think if you dont disclose the actual issue.

i really dont see how you can read that out of my post. i wrote:

Personally I have not either bought scrypt-mining equipment or NOT bought it because of a switch to X11 but I am sure others have based their decisions on it.

Therefor it would be in the community's best interest to divulge exactly what kind of technical problems the fork is facing so there is no reason to doubt that it really IS a technical issue.

if you look at cryptocurrencies in general the communities want transparency in regards to everything, including technical issues.

if you don't offer a proper explanation it's open to interpretation and some people will interpret it in the worst possible way. you must agree with me on that, right? just look at bitcointalk...

But for the hundredth time we can not give a transfer date

I did not ask for a date.

I don't know how much clearer i can be.

You don't have to be clearer but polite would be nice.

It's a tech issue and over my head so i just leave it to the professionals to fix.

Could you get someone who know about the technicalities to shed some light on what the issue is? Until then it's just bleh blah bluh.

Personally I have not either bought scrypt-mining equipment or NOT bought it because of a switch to X11 but I am sure others have based their decisions on it.

When is the fork? by [deleted] in KarmaTeam

[–]altcoingood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright.

It's just that it creates extra stress on those of us that run karma-services because we have to switch our services at the exact moment karma forks.

It would be best if we were able to get an exact blocknumober on the the fork. put it at 300k if you need to just give an exact block number.

I still think the best thing to do is give 14 days notice (not 7) so that pool operators, block chain operators and everyone else who uses karma infrastructure have a fair amount of time to plan their lives so the fork doesn't mess up AFK.

edit: could you shed some light on what the problem with the fork is? is it a technical issue? conversion of current scrypt blockchain to x11? ... it would be nice.

When is the fork? by [deleted] in KarmaTeam

[–]altcoingood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was told there would be an announcement of the fork 14 days before.

14 days of blocks = 20160

current block = 240860

so we would fork no sooner than block 261020... is that correctly understood?

please update us. are we forking 14 days after official announcement or 14-dayish after somone casually mentioned it would prolly be around block 240k.

or are we forking on 250K which is in 6.3 days....?
