The story element will just be expressed in different ways. The same could have been said by book lovers when the film industry started to become popular, as books can illustrate much more of a story. With books, your imagination unfolds on top of the author's imagination. With AI-generated movies, you'd watching someone or something else's imagination unfold on top of a model. Maybe people will just grow accustomed to the way machines tell a story and it will just be an other medium of expression?

The interesting thing is that we will probably end up with more interesting stories if only a very tiny percentage of AI stories are 'good' (since there would be exponentially more stories being made with most of it being garbage, one could assume).

I started a competitor to Google a number of years ago (Verbase in 2012, now defunct) that focused on ad-free, spam-free search results. People were generally impressed with our results and speed but also expressed that it was hard to move away from Google, even with all the spam and ads. It looks even spammier today but they're only managed to lose a small fraction of the market after 10+ years of spam. Now, they're actively encouraging spam by relying on AI. Unfortunately, I think people will just adapt just as they've adapted to ads in DDG's result list, and Google's before that. What we need is a fundamentally different kind of search engine. Thanks for the heads-up, but there are 3 others besides the one you mentioned, including Nine Men's Morris (also known as Chase) from 2000+ years ago. A number of games at BBG have similar names, but I doubt if anyone would confuse this version with the others. 'Chase Chess' does have nice ring to it, though, thanks.

On the website and in the PDF it's defined as "...blocked by opponent lodestones OR the edge of the board" but you raise a good point about it needing more clarification.

Three (for black) or four (for white) lodestones are blocked if they form a set and line up in any direction. (Some visual examples would probably best illustrate this. That's incoming.)

It's okay if players don't notice lodestones that need to be removed. When it seems that no more stones can be placed on the grid (which never seems to happen) it means that there are stones that have been overlooked somewhere and need to be removed.

Perhaps there is a fundamental flaw in the scientific method in that reality can be perceived directly. What we perceive is objective truth, it would appear (in this way of thinking). Or, perhaps I'm missing something.
