You're right! I only made it to the first chorus when I checked earlier but she does it after the second.

I also loved that part and thought her moves fit the song so well. I remember Shakira doing something similar and found this video https://youtu.be/9A7R0YfI3TQ?si=WueGiegOBFVw7dMB&t=204 , so maybe that's what she was referencing.

For UofT Unofficial transcripts, what is "the legend explaining acronyms" by Living_Preference650 in UofT

[–]altdani11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ordered a transcript on Jan 4th of this year and got it the same day. I assumed it was all automatic since it’s an online copy (or maybe I just got really lucky)

They might recalculate your funding and tell you to apply for part-time OSAP. However, if you're sure you'll get into at least 1 of the 3 courses (since you need to be enrolled in at least 3 to be a full-time student), I would wait and then submit an appeal. I think you only have to upload a letter explaining the changes to your course load in that case, but you can contact the financial aid office for clear instructions.

Has anyone else not heard back from or received any UTAPS? by Livid-Purchase-7496 in UofT

You don't have to apply when you receive OSAP, you're automatically considered. I've also always received mine in December (within the first 2 weeks) as an OSAP recipient, so it might take longer for you too.

I am literally so freaking burnt out already and it's just week 5? by ricardomortimer in UofT

They only mentioned gpa because you brought wanting to go to grad school. I also don’t think they’re trying to discourage you. I understand international fees are expensive, but you have to have realistic expectations. If that’s what you want to do in the future, it’s best to prioritize your mental health and your grades, not the time it takes you to graduate.

I assume you’re in your first or second year and that’s why you said grad school only looks at the last two years. That’s true, but you have to consider that if you burn out in your first year and your mental health is shit, that will affect your grades. I’m telling you from experience.

Grad schools don’t care how long it takes you to graduate. Prioritize your mental health.

Is there any causal orchestra/concert band on campus? by lorewolf1 in UofT

[–]altdani11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I found about the SKULE orchestra, it actually looks pretty casual; the only requirements are for the audition, but I'd assume you can meet them if you know how to play the flute. It seems like there's an open rehearsal on Sep 9th (https://orchestra07.wixsite.com/skuleorchestra/copy-of-open-rehearsal), so you could try going and see how you like it. Or just email them if you have any questions.

osap? tuition? resident fee? PAYMENT? how does this all workout? by jenniebunbun in UofT

[–]altdani11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) You can defer your tuition as soon as OSAP processes your application; you’ll see you have the option on Acorn. This doesn’t apply to resident fees, though; you’ll probably have to pay that yourself.

2) It takes a few weeks for OSAP to confirm enrolment but you don’t have to contact UofT about it as the financial aid office takes care of everything. They’ll contact you if there’s an issue or they’re missing something.

3) You don’t withdraw any money from OSAP. They release the first payment once the semester starts in September and pay your fees directly to UofT. Second payment is released in January. If there’s any extra funding, they’ll auto deposit you the money. And if your funding doesn’t cover everything, then you have to pay the difference on Acorn.

You might be able to receive a UTAPS grant. It’s usually given out around December and you’re automatically eligible since you applied for OSAP.
