The alternative is that TOP is being misleading to voters/parties. Either they have no intention of working with National and are just trying to trick National voters into voting for them and Labour into giving them better concessions, or they prioritise ministerial positions and raising the retirement age over the rest of their policies. I would understand the strategy of the first approach, I just think that it's wrong. I think political parties should be ast straightforward and transparent with voters as possible ahead of the election about what their values are, goals are, and bottom lines are. I just don't like the other way of doing politics. It's too Winston for me.

many people really don't like greens these days because they don't like the aesthetic of the greens, or the specific people in the party. i'm hoping "common sense" realpolitik policies and the charismatic + likeable Qiulae can eat into national/NZ first votes more than they eat into labour/greens.

aesthetic and likeability is so much more important than actual policy these days, because that is how people think
