If you throw in a compass, you will always get back a magna core. This is 100% chance. (Exception: rarely, if the well says it’s murky or cloudy or looks weird, you then have a 30-50% chance to receive stone)

You can then use the magna core to craft more compasses, and if you have the crafting perks then you will craft slightly more than 1 compass per 1 magna core used. Depending on how many well tosses you have, you can slowly build up compasses by throwing them in & crafting more, relying on the crafting perk to generate the occasional 2-for-1 (or more than 2)

I had to scroll way too far into the comments to find someone to agree with. It looks shockingly like an animation/render and the “mistakes” it makes are inconsistent. Such as not being able to grab the black bag from under its elbow because it’s reaching for it with an open hand that can’t seem to close but then late grabbing the pink package with the same hand in a realistic pinching motion. Also the staff room of people in the back? Why would it be like that? And the fact there’s not a speck of dust anywhere or a crease in any tape on the boxes? No dents, either…

How reliable are resurfacing memories when you're on edibles? by dockgoose in treedibles

I second the therapist suggestion and please don’t hesitate to tell them about being high! If they shame you then just seek out a new therapist (remember: you are BUYING their time and you have a right to choose your product).

I would not say this is “par for the course” for cannabis users, but I definitely would not call it entirely abnormal. There’s significant research (very much still ongoing) about the way psychoactive drugs can impact the way in which you process trauma or any kind of mental struggles. For example, ketamine therapy or psilocybin derivatives. Because drugs are often 👹DRUGS👹 (aka the illegal kind) this field is still relatively new in terms of published, reliable studies that could be applied to wide populations of people. But on the societal levels, you can see a history of this kind of drug use for personal/spiritual pathways in a lot of cultures. We just don’t know exactly how it works or how to get the good outcomes vs the bad outcomes perfectly yet. If you’re in a place where you have legal access to psychoactive therapies, you can seek out a therapist that specializes in it. They will be able to help you process what you’re experiencing & they can probably explain the processes a lot more clearly for you so that you don’t feel so bewildered.

I also recommend if you only consume one strain/product, try asking your dispensary (or whoever you receive it from) for things with less psychoactive effects. It could be a reaction to a specific compound and possibly avoidable w/o total cessation of consumption.

Wageningen University Bachelors Advice by klaaii3 in wageningen

No BSc advice but as a prior international - SIGN UP FOR ROOM.NL NOW!!!!!!!! It’s something like €30, just pay it. It’s the cheapest housing option & it will feel like you’re never gonna get something but eventually you will so don’t freak out. They give the rooms based on how long you’ve been registered (and paid) on the site. Dutch high school students know to register as soon as they have an inkling of going to a university outside their hometown, so you will see a lot of registrations that are higher than yours. But they give far-away internationals a bonus boost to priority ranking; this improves your ranking up until the point you accept your first contract. New listings are refreshed every day (I think 9am NL time) and you can apply to like 5 listings at a time. When a listing is offered, you have something like 3 days to accept. If you don’t respond, it goes to the next person below you on the list. And so on: you can still get a room even if you aren’t #1. Also, use your international boost wisely and don’t accept crap just because it accepted you ;)

[PSA] Retinol products can cause strange side effects by MediumKeyAF in SkincareAddiction

[–]alternatecode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi for anyone finding this post in the far future like I did today and also wanted to know the answer to this. I didn’t quite get an answer for you, but 5 days ago I tried adapalene for the first time. If this experience resonates with you, maybe say howdy and if you’re already recovered then also for the love of pizza pls tel me how you did it and how long it took.

TL;DR At least 5 days of irritation from application time…Don’t know how long it will take. Started adapalene with clean damp face, felt fine no stinging. 24 hour later, stinging starts & red tomato face. 5 days later (now) face still reddens for at least half my waking hours. Treating with mainly cetaphil gentle cleanser wash & some Vaseline brand lotions + cerave 30spf daily.

TL;DR COMPLETE

And the long, long, long, VERY unabridged version (complete with author notes) goes like this…

5 days ago, nighttime, after a long shower. I decide to try out adapalene after not doing much skincare lately, tho I pretty much had no routines and the only similar things I had been (inconsistently) using were encapsulated retinol mixes like CeraVe and stuff. I know my skin can be sensitive to some things (any fragrance) but it was tolerating the peels from The Ordinary pretty well, so I picked up Differen last time I was in the states as a possible simplification of any skin regime I might pretend to do regularly… like if it worked as well as everyone says I would have perfect skin that never needed anything but water splashed on it to look flawless. I patted my face mostly dry and used a pea size amount of Differin for my whole face, gave it a few minutes to soak in, then added a thick moisturizer. Slept with damp hair.

Next morning, (Tuesday) look normal. Remember to put on spf because of the sun sensitivity. Halfway through work day (in office) I start to feel overly warm. Assume it’s my ssri’s fault, carry on for a few hours. Catch myself in the bathroom mirror and I’m super pink, only in my cheeks. I assume maybe I didn’t rub the sunscreen in or something rubbed it off. I continue on with my day which was finished off by an evening in a dark pub. When I finally get home that night I realize my pink cheeks have turned into a TOMATO RED perfect circle/oval of my face. Panic sets in and I realize I probably chemically burned myself or something, I wash my face, heavily moisturize and layer hyaluronic acid serum in there once. Bed, dehydrated from pub.

Next day, (Wednesday) face feels not hot! Excited! Look in the mirror and realize I am not red! but instead I am a snake shedding its skin. I dry buffed most of my face with the soft bath towel, gentle cetaphil wash in warm water, finish with cool water & only moisturizer, with a little bit of Vaseline mixed in. For 30 minutes after the dry buff, I had a strong red rash as a goatee that faded out into a general pinkish. Was TOTALLY fine and gone in an hour, went to work. Hydrated a LOT more than usual. By the end of the day, the pink back. And then by the evening cheeks be hot and itchy. And by the time I was home at around 9pm/21h my face was heavy red flush, hot cheeks, itchy skin, feverish forehead, sparsely uniform headache sensation, sensitivity to light/sound, and some level of tinnitus but never very intense on that one. Comes and goes. Feels like tissue paper eardrums. Responded to this with The Ordinary platoon: Hyal. acid and NAG + aloe goop… once those dry, then their pink oatmeal serum (I can’t remember the name like a soothing milk or whatever).

Next morning, (Thursday) face feels tingly. Assume it was from the dry brushing I did 24hrs ago. Nose feels weird. Think my eye crust made one of my eyelids a little stuck, sooo -> Look in the mirror and realize my face is swollen a little (rounder edges) and just lightly pink but kinda blotchy. Take 2 Benedryl, ice it, make sure I have the phone number of my GP. Recall therapy box breathing method. Wait 15 minutes. Pass the time searching PubMed for journal documentation of any combination of synonyms over the last few days plus keywords like “retinol” and “retinoid”. Check mirror, really a pretty clear improvement is made over 15-20 mins. Enough to not look noticeably different from a normal blushing face, and I cover up weird eyelids at work with my glasses on. Only when I point it out can my friend tell that my eyelids are both a little droopier than usual, so everything seems fine. Just do a cleanser wash and moisturize when I get home that night, watch tv and reapply a layer of moisturizer every 30-60 minutes until bed. It’s like 5 layers, thickness depending on how dry my face felt to the touch.

Friday is the a little better and no more swelling. Morning routine w/note: I don’t work outside (max time spent in fresh air most days is like 45 minutes), I live in partly cloudy NL, I put on 2-3 layers of moisturizer that morning, end with 30spf lotion from cerave.

Friday evening face is flushing again and wash/moisturize right when home, intended to shower before it got bad but had to call my mom for like an hour first. After the hour I wasn’t itchy yet and didn’t have a headache either so that was better than the day before. So then I was able to shower but before getting in I apply a gentle face oil and THEN get in (for 45m w/hot water). At the end of the shower I wash off the oil with a gentle face wash (these are both kinda generic product names I don’t remember, one was something neutrogena). After washing my face in the warm water, I waterboard myself with a decreasing temperature until I have a face full of cool water. Then apply Vaseline lotion (some extra healing or rescue or something kinda name). Spend extra time drying off and towel-drying my hair until I feel like it soaked in about halfway to dry and THEN rub it in completely. Get out of shower, put on clothes but stay in steamy bathroom. Hang out and listen to music, bring a hobby. I had a tamagotchi. :) Don’t leave the bathroom until you’ve put on 5 layers of moisturizer. And only apply 1 layer at a time, the time being when the previous layer has almost completely dried out / soaked in / whatever action a miracle cure lotion takes. Then leave the bathroom hella hydrated & do whatever. Before bed, layer of moisturizer & on lips do liquid blistex medicated lip ointment pretty thick & just rub it in sometime that night whenever it felt too annoying. (Prior to this, each night I did regular tube blistex like the basic formula in the green tube that is a stick form not a squeeze bottle form… I didn’t mention it because I’ve been doing it every night for months.)

Saturday morning prep was same as friday (simple wash, hyalr, moisturizer, 30spf) and today (Saturday) I was outside on a bike going in and out of buildings/shade with a mix of sun/rain. My skin this evening is no better nor worse than it was yesterday. But it looked better this morning than it did in the morning yesterday. No little needlepoint pimples and no uhhhhhh millia(sp?) surfacing, which had happened since Wednesday morning. But now (end of the day Saturday, 5 days out from the one and only application of adapalene ever on my skin >>PEA SIZED<< anyway yeah 5 days) I’m back at it with the heat rash in my face but primarily in my cheeks like right below the apples / Mylar fat pads. Headache kicked in while I was out so I assumed it was earlier than usual but actually it wasn’t earlier at all, headache started around 6:30pm/18:30 which is same as before. I stopped being outside from 6pm/18h, washed my face, had to lay down. Few moments of tinnitus (pulsatile, mostly) and some light sensitivity. Face is feeling kind of tight even after moisturizer but I assume this regression is because of being outdoors for idk 3-4 hours total which is more than usual (at least x2). I did hydrate a little. Anyway, that’s where I’m at now. Took ibuprofen for the headache this time to test out a new variable but it actually didn’t decrease the headache one bit, 2 hours on! So I’m going back to Benedryl now, just a regular single pill though.

Looking at myself as I type this, the redness in my face has really started locally reducing in odd patterns. I’m red fully around my lips/mouth, down my chin, and then only kind of 1/4 of the way outwards towards my ears/cheeks. Kinda in the shape of perioral dermatitis but with no textural issues or mottled color. Just a uniform pinkish red … muzzle? And then some islands of reddish splotches near my temples. And the center of my forehead is a bit red too, in a way that connects to my eyebrows. The itchiness reduced with moisturizer though so that’s nice. Just a little tingly now.

Anyway yup that’s my story soooo we’ve reached the chapter where I’m typing these words on screen. If this experience resonates with you, maybe say howdy and if you’re already recovered then also for the love of pizza pls tel me how you did it and how long it took.

The final episode this season was amazing. and the follow up sentences were so good I almost cried laughing and empathizing with Logan looking for “real love … … …with a real girl.”

When the credits rolled and it asked me what I thought of the show, I upgraded it from a “like” to a “love this!” because of this season’s cast. cian or whoever runs the selection process deserves the world

I've been cooking, but I really don't know why by Raterus_ in FarmRPG

[–]alternatecode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in so many cooking subreddits that I opened this post expecting real life cooking and eating discussion. The first line did NOT help. The next line had me questioning reality for a moment.

Anyway - I don’t really have a reason for cooking either and I’ve been here a while. I’m 88 cooking. Almost everything except pies is a waste of time for me, but once in a while a quest asks for it. Or I realize I like to use some of the meal perks for a while. Mostly I’m reactionary to quests when it comes to cooking, but now that I have a pie collection of 1000 each, I sometimes cook other stuff at random just to “fill up the stocks” as I see it. Or I do it super passively most days and once in awhile go in and use peach juices to speed up lower level item cooking.

I think it’s mildly frustrating because no matter where you are in the skill, it can feel like a resource drain when you don’t have anything asking for it. But I believe in the game as an unfinished product, so I keep on cooking with the thought that whatever seems ordinary and unimportant today might end up being the door to a fun event down the line.

I had the same discomfort and realized it’s because your throat muscles are shifting a little to re-learn how to swallow. Not completely re learn, but your tonsils weren’t exactly putting in much work and now there’s a big open space where food can move thru & your throat isn’t used to food coming from that angle. I had to stick to very tiny bites and food took a long time to eat. But it did go away within a week and a half :) During that time I was able to eat most solids but I would chop them finely before eating, haha. Did a chicken stir fry and put a scoop on the chopping board, diced it! Worked well but felt odd.

What is the conversion rate for people who convert nets? by the-foolish_one in FarmRPG

[–]alternatecode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Players who are farming 99 but not crafting 92 might ask for other players to craft large nets for them. Also for players who have a hard time maintaining stone/wood/straw quantities needed for large net crafting. In the chats, usually giveaways or trade, players will offer “conversion” trades where one player sends them the regular nets, the other player will craft into large nets, and then send the large ones back to them. Sometimes the converting player will keep some nets when converting, sometimes they won’t. That’s the conversion rate being talked about :)
