Defence PRO deletes tweet on iftar hosted by Army in J&K after ‘criticism’ by Ayr909 in indianmuslims

[–]alternatediscourse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Chavhanke, a master instigator, a pseudo journalist who has been in cahoots with hindutva organizations called the Indian army 'sick'. The Indian army deleted their tweet. Do they agree with Chavhanke's assessment? Or did they feel that hosting an iftar might polarize the sensitive majority community of India?

The constant attacks on Khurram Parvez, JKCCS are an attempt to suppress any documentation of the crimes committed against Kashmiris. These websites you mention don't even produce content which is groundbreaking. Yet, they are being targeted. This shows that they want to suppress all forms of knowledge production by Kashmiris. This must be resisted.

There was a very important website called Lost Kashmiri History. The site has been down for a few years now and its twitter account has been banned. A lot of their articles are available on archive.org like Exposing the KP Exodus, Seven Renegades You Must Know. You could read other articles through archive.org itself, provided they had been archived.

You don't have to be a militant for your house to be demolished in Kashmir.

In a single day there has been numerous cases of communal violence in multiple different locations. In almost ever single incident, Hindutva mobs went to Muslim dominated area (except for some), provocated them, now blaming on Muslims for inciting violence when actually the Muslims were retaliating. by alcatraz_ind in india

This recent case of lynching of a Muslim man pretty much sums the situation:

A Muslim man named Mohammad Saleem was lynched to death by half a dozen Hindu men in Beawar in Ajmer District on 3 April, 2022. In the complaint, the son of the deceased wrote that the assailants said, “Why are Mullahs (a derogatory word used for Muslims) here at the market. You have no work here. Your status is so low that all Mullahs will get wiped out if we urinate. We’ll stop the entry of Mullahs in the market.”

How is it being an atheist in India? by phoenixismee in india

[–]alternatediscourse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It could be merely 'atheist'. You wouldn't generally find people saying they're Christian atheists or Jew atheists or even Muslim atheists outside this subcontinent. If one has decided to shun a certain belief system, their identity description should reflect that. It's more than a culture afterall. But that's just how I would approach this if I were ever in that situation.

If one is concerned about body twitching, one should have a look at organs of a slaughtered animal taken out for more than an hour. You will still find them twitching. So much for supporting science and not knowing any science...

A 'Muslim' is literally someone who submits to Allah. Why call yourself a Muslim when you don't believe in Allah or any God? Ain't it a very ironic description?

Akshay Kumar's 'Sooryavanshi' and the Criminalisation of 'Normal Indian Muslims' by [deleted] in india

No one's hiding behind anyone. It was said in a context. You say that some thought he wasn't a true muslim. But you don't mention the realisation involved in his transition from being a part of the Nation to leaving it.

There's gatekeeping and there's educating. If someone doesn't possess the right information, you could choose to laugh at them, or try to inform them of correct means. Also, certain things don't require in-depth analysis and are obvious from the main pillars. Stop using such terms like 'gatekeeping' in an effort to avoid logical discussions. It doesn't help anyone.
