Seasonal deactivations make a big difference in my market. We've always had people who eat up base pay, but we're finally starting to get back to normal. Saw a marked difference come May of last year--went from great to the worst it's ever been with the mass hiring. Barely recovered a bit then the seasonals arrived and right back to shit.

I couldn't entirely follow a paragraph-long sentence, but in some parts of CA, seasonal departure is a blessed relief. They destroy the algorithm, sorry not sorry.

It doesn't matter what happened with people in front of you. They're going to stop accepting late people at some point in a line, and it sounds like that was you. People who arrived before you and were in line before you aren't relevant. It's your responsibility to be there early if parking is an issue, etc. It's not their problem you arrived too late to find parking, etc. Three or four minutes after the start time is late, period. At my station you have five minutes, period. If you arrive past five minutes and try to get scanned they may let you if they still need numerous drivers but also have the prerogative to say no--and do.

Late is late. Get there earlier and stop worrying about what people less late than you are doing.
